The Act Of Seeing (Stephew Poem)

(A/N) So... my poetry skills are... um... undeveloped, but I'm gonna try a Stephew poem because why not? I dunno. This is my best attempt at feels and for some reason I just teared up for no reason while writing this. Like why even am I feelin' the feels before the feels even exist? Ok ok enough rambling, time to poem.

Also, the lines in brackets are Matt's, while those in parentheses are Steph's. Lines in both brackets and parentheses are said by both.

[What do you see when you look at me]

[Do you see the failed wishes, the dreams and all the-]

(I see courage, and the strength still to go on)

(You're the mind behind a great phenomenon)

(And yet every day when I look at you)

(Past the things that you know and the things that you do)

(I can see past the time-worn shimmering curtain)

(When I look past the screen, I see a person)

(So what do you see when you look at me)

(Do you see what I've done so that you can be free)

[You laugh and you smile, and I think and I toil]

[And sometimes you cheer me up when my blood starts to boil]

[Is there anything at all I can do]

[To possibly make it all up to you]

[I'll tell what I see when I look in your eyes]

[A good-hearted lady who supports and she tries]

[To make a ray of sunshine to drown the gloom in]

[Though she does what she can, she's only human]

([And what would they see if they saw past the screen])

([If they could come over and see the whole scene])

([They would never let themselves just say goodbye])

([Wouldn't just leave us all alone there to cry])

([Our fans would comfort us in the darkest of times])

([And break us both out of our mental confines])

([For the first time our fans would look to our suffering's heart])

([And they'd know it was their time to finally depart])

([But then in their eyes we would see the tears collect])

([A grief in those pupils that we could not expect])

([The two of us would cry, because we were finally seeing])

([What it was to, in their eyes, become a human being])
