Chapter 3

Beep, Beep, Beep. I heard the alarm go off and both Maddy and I jumped out of bed. Even though it was five in the morning, we could not have been more excited. We jumped into our clothes, and I put just a little blush on. I know. Its a big step for me, but I get to meet Mason Hunter today. We double checked and made sure every thing we needed was packed. Then we made our way down stairs to eat something. Mom, dad and Shane were already down there eating. Judy brought us a bowl of cereal.

"Good morning girls, did you sleep well?" she asked.

"As well as can be when your about to meet the most famous group of teen brothers in the world." Maddy said. Beware, fan girl Maddy is out. I can already see that I am going to be the calm one on this trip. Even Judy laughs at her.

By the time we were ready to go, all of our things were already in the bus. The bus was huge. It was so big that there was a tanning bed in there for Shane, because lord forbid she have the slightest tan line. I took my seat in the recliner and awaited our first destination. We started the tour in Seattle, and it seemed like the longest ride of my life. We were forced to watch Legally Blonde and Glee the whole way. Talk about torture. But after about six hours we finally made it to the arena.

I made my way out of the bus. I wanted to stretch and walk for a while! I needed my own space for a while! I walked around some random arena for hours! I found Shane's dressing room, the dance studio, and the sitting room. There was only one room I was afraid to even look at, The Big Bad World's. I know, I have to meet him sometime. I just never thought I would get this chance. I gather up the courage to walk by one last time! When I finally get to the door, I just stare at it! Should I knock? I can't force myself on them! What am I trying to do? I decide to go back to the sitting room with Maddy for a while.

"Shane?" I heard someone ask, and that someone was just who I was wanting to see.

"No sorry, I'm her sister Ava." I say to him.

"Mason" He says as he extends his hand toward me, and I willingly shake it. "So, why are you just walking around?" Mason asks me.

"No particular reason, I'm just bored. What about you? Do you have to rehearse?"

"Nah, I'm just trying to get to know the place. I do this everywhere we go. I like to make myself at home. Even though it may only be for a day." He tells me!

" I know what you mean. I'm the same way, and I also wanted some alone time. I can only take so much superstar talk. I don't know how you do it!" I say as we just walk around.

"Trust me, I don't know how I do it. Mainly my older brother Nathan takes care of everything, because if I get into anything it will only cause more harm than good." He said as we walked into the front lobby.

" Story of my life" I say. He chuckled

" How is you're life so difficult? You have time to do things, but I have to schedule when I have to take shits." I just shake my head at his use if language.

"My life is nothing but easy. I always have to live in Shane's shadow. I mean we're twins. I always get mistaken for her, and I get followed around just like you and Shane. Only I don't want this life. I would do anything for a normal one." I say honestly. I like talking to him. For once, some is actually listening to me.

" I understand. It's not easy being around us. Your right, I do love what I do. When I see someone sing my songs I get this feeling I can't describe. That feeling makes everything worth it." He is being so honest with someone he just met. Maybe I do the same thing to him that he does to me.

"I know the feeling. When I'm competing it's like nothing else matters. It's just the music and I." I was going to say more, but his phone rang.

"I'm sorry, but I need to take this." I nod and he walks to the side. I few minutes later he walks back over to me.

"I'm sorry, but I need to go. I hardly talk to anyone besides my brothers, and it was nice. Um, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the after party with me tonight? I had fun with you, and it would be awesome to spend some time together."

"I would love to." I say before I can even think about it.

" Great I'll see you after the show then?" He asks.

"I'll see you then." I say as he comes closer and gives me a hug. As I try to pull away he slips something into my back pocket.

"Bye" he says as he walks the other way. I wave back at him, but as soon as he's away I reach into my jean pocket and notice it's his number. I scream to myself for a second, and then I make my way back to Maddy. She is going to die when she hears that I have a date with Mason Hunter.
