I have always wondered why people wanted to live the life of the rich and famous. It's not that wonderful to me. I never wanted that life, but I never got that choice. Someone in my family made living a simple and easy teenage life a hell of a lot harder, and she goes by the name of Shane Ryder! Shane and I are identical twins, but that doesn't mean we are anything alike. We are actually opposites. Shane is obnoxious, outgoing, and very out spoken. I, on the other hand, am quiet, simple, and shy. She is very beautiful, and she flaunts it. I don't think a guy has ever turned her down. I am eighteen years old and have never had a boyfriend. Unlike Shane, I don't think a guy has ever noticed me, but when they did it was Shane who they ran to. Don't get me wrong I love my sister, but sometimes I think things would be different if she wouldn't have chosen the life she had. People would actually treat us like we were normal. We wouldn't have to avoid those damn paparzzi. We wouldn't have to watch who we went out with, but most importantly we wouldn't have to watch every word we say and who we say it to. Well I guess since this what Shane wants this is what I'm stuck with. Who cares what Ava wants?
This morning I do just as I always do. I shower, get dressed and pack my bag for cheerleading practice. I only do my hair and make up when I have to. I don't see the point in clogging up your pores when you can look the way God intended you to. Then I make my way downstairs to eat breakfast and just like every morning no one was home. Judy, our house keeper, sat down and ate breakfast with me.
"Don't forget you need to pack for the tour. We leave on Monday." She reminded me.
" Ugh, don't remind me. Do I have to go?" I pleaded like I have done a hundred times, and it never works.
" You already know the answer to that already." She stated.
" No I don't! It's not like she comes to any of my competitions . No matter how many times I beg or plead no one shows up." I say angitated.
"I do" She reminds me, and I feel bad.
"I know. I'm sorry. I just don't think it's fair. You are the only one who who is ever there for me, so why do I have to follow Shane?" I ask.
"Honey, we all have to do things we don't want to do. It doesn't make it fair or right, but sometimes you just have suck it up. It's not easy, and it never will be. You just have to be strong, and I promise we will get through this tour together." Judy is like a mother to me, and this is why I love her.
" You promise? Because I don't know if I can stand them that long."
"I promise." I move over and hug her.
" Well I have to go to practice. I'll be back later." I tell her. But she stops me before I get to the door.
" Don't forget to give the passes to Maddy if you still want her to go. Your mom gave them to me this morning before she left."
"Ahh why didn't you tell me a minute ago?" I excitedly went and grabbed the tickets.
" Well I was getting there, but you decided to leave."
"I'm sorry, but I really do have to go!" I stated "Bye" I yelled as I walked out of the door.
I walked out side and Anderson was already waiting for me. I hopped in the car and we were in our way. As soon as we were outside the gates we were bombarded with paparazzi. I didn't even know how Anderson was driving because all I could see was flashing lights. It took about thirty minutes, but we finally got to the studio. I was on a national team called the Diamond Girls. we travel all around the world competing to be the best in the nation. I am also the captian.
"Hey girls. Today we are going to learn the routine to Dynamite by Taio Cruz. I think it's going to be a great routine. Its hard, but I think we can do it. So let's line up and get started." I tell the girls
We line up and I teach them the first five eight counts. We go over that several times and then I watch them. They were getting this routine so well that we finished the routine. All that was left was to clean it up.
After practice I went and grabbed Maddy so I could talk to her about the tour.
" Hey you! I have a surprise for you!" I tell her.
"What?" She jumped up and down.
" Well what are your plans for the summer?" I ask.
"Nothing besides working out for cheer. Will you get to the point already?" I could tell she was getting impatient. she didn't have patience to save her life.
"Well I have these and I figured you might want them." I pull out the passes and I automatically hear her scream.
"Of course I want to go. I don't want to sit around and have Jessica teach me the routines when I could be with you an a national tour."
"Well you need to be packed by Monday and we leave at 7 am." I inform her knowing she is just going to be late. "So you can just stay with me Sunday night."
"Thank you so much!" she exclaims as she hugs me.
"No problem I couldn't make it without you." I tell her.
"I love you best friend." She tells me.
"I love you." I tell her
