The room was magnificent. The doctor gently shoved Jake to one of the benches near the window. Jake sat down and the Dr.Taylor sat next to him. "Well," The doctor said, "Let's get started!"  Jake nodded.

The doctor spent hours teaching Jake how to elegantly move his fingers across the guitar and how to strum the guitar at just the right amount in order to make the right sound. Jake found out that the doctor had an amazing voice, it was deep but soothing. Jake learned that the doctor was also a songwriter. His songs fit perfectly to Jake's mood.

Half an hour later, Jake and Dr.Taylor were sitting in the living room drinking water. The TV was on the Looney Tunes but the volume was turned down. Jake decided to break the silence.

"Where's your wife?"
The doctor tensed.
"She passed away a year ago of cancer. I tried everything we could but nothing worked." Dr.Taylor said, eyes began to water. Jake frowned. "I'm so sorry. Did your family help?" The doctor shook his head."My family shunned me because I married a black woman. They were just racist. But I paid no mind to them, I loved her for so she was."

"What was her name?"

"Alice."

Alice. Jake thought. The name was pretty to him. Then the doctor's situation struck him, The doctor wasn't afraid to follow his feelings. His family disgraced him for being involved in an interracial marriage but yet he still continued to love her. Jake knew how could never tell his peers about is talent, he would be shunned. He was deep in these thoughts when the doctor asked what was the matter. "Oh, nothing! Just thinking." The doctor nodded and said, "Don't think too much." Jake smirked and finished up the toast and bologna he was eating and handed the empty saucer to the man. "Well, its about time you get going!", The doctor said. They shook hands and Jake put on his coat. He opened the door and bid their goodbyes. "Well, Bye Dr.Taylor!"
"Bye, Son."

As Jake walked he decided to stop by the hospital. He passed the busy nurses and doctors. He entered room 209 and sat next to the bed. He smiled at her calm face, frozen in time. He grabbed his guitar and sung a song his mom sung to him when he was little.

Sleep, my child, and peace attend thee,

All through the night

Guardian angels God will send thee,

All through the night

Soft the drowsy hours are creeping,

Hill and dale in slumber sleeping

I my loved ones' watch am keeping,

All through the night

Angels watching, e'er around thee,

All through the night

Midnight slumber close surround thee,

All through the night

Soft the drowsy hours are creeping,

Hill and dale in slumber sleeping

I my loved ones' watch am keeping,

All through the night

Jake stood in front of Molly's house. It was a two story brick. house with a big oak in the front lawn. Molly lived by herself, only because her parents kicked her out because announced she was atheist. He walked to the front door, and walked in. He walked upstairs where he could hear music coning from her room. He opened her door, decorated with signs,

Keep out

Princess inside

Molly bitch!

Jake opened the door and almost choked at the sight.
