Gabe POV

I woke and went to scoot closer to Taylor however he was not there, which cause me to jerk up in the bed looking around or him. Not finding him I got out of the bed, shuffling toward the door and walking into the hallway then down the stairs.

Walking to the couch and flopping down on it, I heard a groan and looked toward the kitchen entrance seeing Taylor pacing around until I noticed I had came in the room and walked over to me leaning over the back of the couch to kiss my forehead.

"Did you sleep well, love?"

I smiled, "Very well actually. Why are you pacing?"

"Okay so you remember when I said my parents are never home?" I nod.

"well I lied. They hate me and I live alone. I'm sorry about lying to you. It's just not something I share to random people." He rubbed the back o his neck.

"I understand, but why are you pacing around? Did something happen between you and your family?" I frowned and grabbed his hands holding them close to me as I turned on the couch facing him as he was leaning on the back of it. He hold them back and kissed my forehead again and sighed.

"Well sort of, they're coming to visit me and I really don't want them here at all." He looked saddened looking into my eyes. "Let's just say they didn't keep their opinions about gays and trans to just verbal hate."

I looked at him shocked, "They hit you?!!" He nodded and I hugged him close to my chest, feeling the tears well up. He rubbed my back and buried his face in my neck.

I felt him kiss up my neck to my cheek, I blushed but didn't move away from him. He smiled at me and kissed my cheek once more and backing up slightly but still held me close to him. I smiled and kissed his cheek which he chuckled at.

There was a knock on the door and Taylor looked at me, all traces of a smile gone. "Stay here for just a second okay, love?"

I nodded and he walked to answer to door, the small wall by the entrance of the door making it difficult to see anything. Though I can hear their voices clearly.

"Hello daughter of mine." I cringed at the sickly sweet tone of voice the lady used, I could almost see Taylor cringe from the pronoun she used as well.

"Hello momster no one ever wanted." He spat out at her. I almost laughed at that but kept quiet.

I heard Taylor give a soft grunt and then the door slammed shut. They walked in and her gaze automatically landed on me, as I was still on my knees leaning over the couch.

"Oh my, you have a quest. Who might this young lady be, Tori?" She smirked sickly. I cringed and got of the couch walked behind Taylor, hugging his waist and whispered up to him, "Are you okay?"

He nodded and looked at his mother, "Where are the others?"

"They won't be here. Your father had a firefight meeting and couldn't come. And your younger siblings are in the car. Christie moved out." She looked at him and glared. "Now answer my question, 'Who is she?'"

"Someone important to me unlike you." I blushed and buried my face into his back, hoping he wouldn't feel my face burning.

She snickered and I looked up again only to see her closer to him, I glared at her. At this point you could basically feel the dark aura coming from Taylor and the tension in the room could easily suffocate anyone.

"Come here, girl." I looked up at Taylor and he slowly nodded his head still eyeing her with a death glare.

I slowly walked forward and stopped maybe two feet from her. "So tell me who you are."

"Gabriela." I replied bluntly, still feeling uncomfortable.

"What are you to Tori?" She glared at Taylor and looked back at me.

The tension started to grow, which I didn't think was possible. "F-friend."

She smirked at me and leaned in a little bit. "Do you have feelings for her?"

I shook and looked down, 'I can't say yes but that would be a lie to her, me, and Taylor.' After I didn't answer for a while, I looked up and was meet with a stinging sensation to my face, she slapped me. I teared up as I made contact with the floor. Through my blurry vision I saw a black blob land on Taylor's mother and all I heard was yelling and what I concluded as punches. I blinked to clear my vision and saw Taylor on top of his mother punching her face or anywhere really repeatedly. Jumped up and hugged him around the torso, he stopped his movements almost immediately.

He hopped off of her badly injured form and hugged my shaken figure. He was rubbing my back soothingly and whispering things to me. He looked at her and glared with so much hate, "Get the fuck out of my house. If you come around my house, Gabe, or me I'll kill you."

She was shaking, nodded a quick yes and ran out the door faster then I have ever seen anyone run, I was surprised she was injured at all.

I looked at Taylor, he moved his hand to move his bangs out of his eyes, which seem calmer now. I saw his hand which had blood on the knuckles.

"Taylor, your hand. Are you hurt?" I grabbed his hand and held it in my vision.

"I'm fine, I think it's just her blood." He kissed my cheek she slapped earlier. "Are you okay though?"

I nodded, "It just scared me a little bit is all."

"I'm sorry about this." He hugged me tighter.

"It's fine really."

He smiled and said, "Now you know why I don't talk about my past."
