    The chorus of screams and gasps flooded my ears as my life was flashed before my eyes. My body seemed to fall in slow motion, sinking into the soft, coarse sand. The crushing weight on my chest pressed me father into the sand, suffocating me. My ears began to shut out the world around me; the silence was deafening. I was losing consciousness. As quickly as it came, the weight was removed from my chest, and my lungs sucked in the air they so desperately craved. A swarm of bodies huddles around me. Some were moving their lips, but no sound was heard. A sharp pain like a knife coursed through my spine as I was lifted into the air. I cried out in pain, but no words came. No one could hear me, nor could I hear them. The darkness finally caught up with me and engulfed me. The silence and darkness was my comfort from the terror and pain of the real world.
