Emma's POV

When Amy and I came home, the first thing I noticed were the pink letters lying on the floor beneath the letter slot. I sighed and picked them up and put them on the kitchen table, then I went upstairs to bath Amy.

Before I actually bathed her, I went to my parents' bedroom to check on my mother. She was tight asleep and rolled up in her bed, like usually. I sighed and silently closed the door.

After I was done bathing Amy, I brought her to bed for her daily nap. She hated those but I told her she would have to have a nap everyday until she was going to go to primary school.

I went into the kitchen and took a look at the dunning letters. The last weeks I've fallen a bit behind with paying the bills and since I've hadn't had a lot gigs recently, there wasn't any money to pay them anyway.

I needed a way to get money as quickly as possible. And playing gigs at some old and shabby pun wouldn't do it.

I thought about the offer the boys had made, about signing to the Vamps' label Steady Records.

Now that Reece knew about what was going with my family, maybe he could help me hide it from them? This wouldn't be a problem or cause too much trouble and I'd make some money.

After pondering a bit, I grabbed my phone to call George. It took him a while to answer the call.

"Hey George, are you in Bedfordshire yet?" I asked.

"Yeah, I just arrived. Mum's gonna pick me up any minute and we're gonna have Nando's, I think."

"Great." I said. "Hey, I just thought about your offer. You know, signing to Steady Records and this stuff."

I heard the surprise in his voice. "You did?"

"Yeah, I did."

"And what do you think?" He asked excitedly and I grinned.

"I accept it."

"For real?"

"Yeah!"

"Are you serious?"

"Yes!!"

"Are you sure?"

"YES George. If you don't stop asking I might change my decision."

George shut up immediately on the other line and I laughed.

"Just kidding." I said. "But yeah, for real."

"This is awesome." He cheered and it made me smile that he was so happy for me. "I knew you were going to say yes."

"Didn't sound like that a couple of seconds ago." I replied and George snorted.

"Ahh, forget about this. I was just kidding." He laughed and I rose one eyebrow. Yeah sure. "Anyway, I'm gonna call the boys from the Vamps as soon as I'm home. Sorry but Nando's is first priority."

"I can totally understand and you are forgiven." I told George which caused him to laugh. "And I better go and work on some music stuff or anyway the Vamps don't want to sign me anymore."

"I don't believe so."

"Anyway, I'm gonna work on it nevertheless."

"Great." He said and then there was a short silence on the other end of the line, then he spoke to me again. "Listen, my mum just arrived to pick me up. Need to hang up now. See you in a bit."

"Enjoy your meal." I said and then quit the call.

Well, this was going to be exciting.

Reece's POV

It wasn't even an hour after I had dropped Emma and Amy off at their house when Em called me. She sounded excited and nervous and I could only imagine her rosy cheeks as she spoke.

"What's up?" I said. I had just sat down and played a bit of guitar when she had called me. I usually didn't take calls when I was playing the guitar because that's like my sanctuary and nothing or anyone could come between me and my guitar but Emma wasn't anyone. She was Emma and I gladly put away my guitar for her because I could talk to her for hours and never get tired of it.
It was like Emma was my guitar.

"I've got good news." She said and I could tell only by her voice that she was smiling.

"Well, I want to know."

"I'll accept your offer and I'll probably sign."

"Seriously?" I asked in disbelief. I hadn't expected Emma to answer in affirmative that quickly. She was stubborn but I guess she had changed her mind.

"Yes."

"For real?"

"Why is everybody asking me that?" She sounded annoyed but laughed anyway.

"Who's been asking you that?" I asked her a bit confused.

"George and Blake!"

"You've called George and Blake? I asked her.

"Yeah, George first, then Blake and now I'm calling you."

I was a bit disappointed that she had called them first and not me but I guess that's just because George and Blake were the ones who had made the offer. I had been against it in the first place actually but that was when I was still mad at Emma. Now that I knew what was going on at her home, I could totally understand her and I wanted her to do everything that made her happy because when she was happy, I was.

"And what did they say?" I asked and put my legs up on the sofa.

"They are really glad I'm gonna accept and they reacted the exact same way like you and George said he'd call the boys."

"That's awesome." I told her. "Can I come over?"

The line went quiet for a moment.

"I don't know." She finally said. "Why do you want to come?"

"Because I want to celebrate with you." I said and then I added: "And I want to see you."

"You've seen me only an hour ago." She replied.

"That's not enough."

"Reece. Just friends." She whispered underneath her breath.

"I know, just friends. But I want to see you anyway." I whispered back only because she was whispering.

"When can you be here? My dad will be home at six."

"I'll be there in five, we've got plenty of time."

"What are we gonna do?" She asked and I smirked.

"Whatever friends aren't supposed to do." I replied and with these words, I hung up.

Author's Note

I'm sorry this chapter is so short but I'm not really feeling well and I gotta study a lot.

I just wanted to keep you updated.

Also, I've been at Ed Sheeran's concert in Berlin yesterday and I am blown away. From his voice to the way he performs a show with only a loop pedal, it was breathtaking.

New Hope Club released the official video for Make Up today and let's be honest, we've all been waiting ages for this to happen and its fricking amazing.
