"Love the way that you conquer your fear, you know hearts don't break around here" - Ed Sheeran

- 24th June, 2017 -

Emma's POV

"Help, help, help it's hot." I said and placed the baking tray with pizza on the table in Reece's yard.

"I know that I'm hot." George joked and I softly slapped the back of his head.

"I said it's not you are." I told him. "So keep on dreaming your little illusion."

George put his hand on his chest dramatically and acted like he had just been shot in the heart.

"Ouch that hurt." He complained. "Ever since your dad is in jail you got quite mean to be honest."

"Call it mean, I call it joie de vivre. But honesty would also suit." I countered.

"#RoastedByEmma" Blake said and took a picture of George's pout to post it on Twitter.

"Add 'the second time within 30 seconds'." I told him and he laughed.

"Done." He said and held his thumbs up, a huge grin on his face. George just crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked to the ground.

I felt a bit sorry for him, so I added:

"Don't tell Reece but if I wasn't totally into him, I'd probably find you hot." I said. It was no secret that I liked Reece more than a friend and everybody was just waiting for me to be ready to date him.

"Thanks Em. I really needed some pep talk after I've got roasted the second time within 30 seconds." George replied. "Speaking of Reece, where is he actually?"

"Last time I saw him he went to the bathroom with Amy to wash hands." Blake said.

"Shall we start eating or shall we wait?" I asked the guys.

"Wait." George answered.

"But the pizza is getting cold." I complained and pouted but George just raised his eyebrows.

"I thought it was hot."

"Shut up."

"Don't be mad because you know I'm right." George was so damn right but I wasn't going to admit it.

"Shut up." I said instead of admitting that he was right.

"Come on." He said.

"I hate you."

"You don't."

"Maybe."

Blake and George laughed at my silliness and I pretended to be huffy.

"REECE?" I yelled through the backyard but in that very moment someone whispered into my ear and I jumped.

"I'm here." Reece whispered.

"Jesus!" I said underneath my breath. "You scared the living shit out of me."

"It's just Reece, not Jesus." He answered and I laughed sarcastically and poked his arm.

"Dinner is ready." I smiled at him and he winked at me.

"I know." He smirked and went to sit down on the chair right next to me. He put his hand on my thigh under the table and I covered it with mine while squeezing it softly.

After we had finished the Pizza, George and Blake decided to go inside with Amy and play a board game but Reece and I wanted to stay outside and put on a bonfire.

We sat on a bench, snuggled up in a blanket and just looked at the sparks floating into the dark night sky.

"I could sit like that forever." Reece said after a while. He stroke my arm and I rested my head on his shoulder.

"You could?" I asked him and without hesitation he answered:

"Definitely. As long as I've got you by my side."

"Oh I wouldn't be sure about that if I was you." I told him. "Forever is a long time. It's more than a life time."

"But I'll be taking my time, spending my life falling deeper in love with you." Reece responded and I had to giggle at his silliness.

"Are you aware that I know that these are Ed Sheeran lyrics?" I teased him.

"Ah shit. I thought you wouldn't notice."

"Be creative. Make up your own lyrics." I challenged him and he raised the corner of his mouth, trying to hide the smile that was creeping on his face.

"Well then, I'm trying to figure out what you're all about." Reece said the lyrics from their song perfume. I smirked because what I was going to say next would be something Reece had wanted to hear for months.

"Okay. Then listen to my lyrics now." I told him. "I think I'm ready."

"Ready for what?" He asked surprised and I smiled as I lowered my eyes to his beautiful lips.

"Ready to be with you." I whispered as I closed the distance between our lips.

"I'm ready to love you."
