About 6 months had past, things were going great. Jared had little projects that kept him occupied so Shannon and I had time to ourselves and the same with Shannon. Life was good, except we had to keep it a secret from outsiders. Vicki eventually forgave me and we became good friends. But something felt wrong and I couldn't figure out what it was.
J" So we are going to have a party tonight. It's mum's bday" Me" Cool " J" It's a surprise, Shannon is taking her shopping as his present so he will bring her" Me" What do you need me to do" J" Can you do the nibble food like dips and stuff like that" Me" On it". I did the food, Emma hung decorations with Vicki helping, Jared and the guys were out the back setting up chairs, tables, a bath with ice in it for drinks and blew up pool toys. I had just finished the nibble food and placed them in the fridge to keep fresh. I noticed the meat still in there packets. I decided I would place them all on a big platter to make it easier to grab later. As I was clearing a shelf for the platter I got a wif of the meat as I started to move it. I felt ill instantly and ran to the bathroom and chucked up. Emma heard me and came running. E" Oh my god are you ok, what happened". I couldn't talk straight away. Me" Oh, that meat is off" E" What do you mean" Me" I mean it's off, bad, everyone will get sick" E" But it smelt fine when I got it". Emma and i went to the kitchen and smelt the meat. Me" Oh yuck" E" It smells fine to me" E" Hey Vicki smell this meat". She did with a puzzled look on her face. V" Why am I smelling it" E" It doesn't smell off to you" V" No why does it to you" E" No but Charlene thinks it does and she chucked because of it". Vicki and Emma both looked at me I was rubbing my breast with a painful look on my face and trying to cough out a chunk that was stuck in my throat. V" Oh my god" Me" What" V" Your pregnant" Me" WHAT" E" Oh that explains a lot" V" Mmm, throwing up at the smell of meat, sore breasts that look larger too. When was your last period" Me" I just finished one, so" E" You can still get it even when you are pregnant". I sat there with a puzzled look on my face. The girls and I decided to go to the grug store, the guys hadn't gotten the beer yet so we told them we would get it, perfect cover.
When we got to the drug store it was a bit busy and I felt very nervous. What if someone notices me buying a test and tell Shannon and Jared. Vicki and Emma saw me stressing. E" I'll buy it" Vicki took it from my hand. V" No I will, Tomo and I are married and we are trying to get pregnant so I will get it". I thanked her with my eyes and walked outside to wait for them. T" Hi, what are you doing here" Me" Um..I..um" I couldn't speak. T" Are you ok". Just then the girls came out. V" Hi baby" T" Hey what's going on". They looked at me and saw on my face I had no idea what to say. V" It's ok, he knows I take a test every couple of weeks" She said making out that was the secret I was trying to keep. I relaxed and was able to play off that. Me" Oh good, I wasn't sure. So what are you doing here, getting out of work are we" T" I've been sent out to get more supplies. And I better hurry Constance and Shannon will be there soon" V" Oh we better get those drinks then" T" I already did" V" When, we were sent to get it" T" Well I beat you" He said grabbing her hips kissing her. E" Ok guys we better go". They quickly parted getting one more kiss in then we went back to the house. V" Ok when we get there we go staight to the bathroom" E &Me" Ok".
When we arrived we saw Shannon in the drive way opening the car door for Constance. V" Dam, we have to wait". We hopped out and greeted them. Constance had a big smile on her face, she had been pampered all morning. Shannon and I waited till Constance was out of sight then we kissed hello. Constance doesn't know about my real relationship with her sons. Vicki and Emma covered her eyes as they led her out the back, telling her that her present isn't wrapped yet. E" Ok open". Everyone" Surprise" C" Oh my" J" Happy birthday mum" C" Oh thank you" She had tears in her eyes from happiness. She went around greeting everyone, smiles and laughing all around. I couldn't enjoy myself all that well cause I kept thinking of how bad I wanted to take that test.
