Separation

Fai's POV

I pushed my books aside and stretched  my hands as I yawned. My patience was on the verge of breaking down into two pieces. Its like i like in this apartment alone. The last time I saw Reev was two weeks ago, the day when she revealed that she is a hacker. I know she comes home, but at odd hours; when I am at work or late at midnight. So we don't meet at all.

This whole hacking thing is irritating me. I feel so lonely, and of course, a hell lot of bored. The first day, I tried moving around the house, thinking maybe I can do some cleaning. But the house was spotlessly clean. I roamed around the house and thought of sneaking inside Reev's room. I haven't seen it till then. The door was unlocked and I went inside. Her room was bigger than mine. There was a bed in the middle with a dozen of soft toys. Actually, I couldn't see the bed, it was so crowded. I just assumed that it would be a bed.

On the right side of the bed was a computer table with three monitor screens, a bookshelf. There were two doors on the right wall; One was a bathroom and another a wardrobe with dresses. That didn't surprise me, but the left wall of the room did. 

The whole left wall was made up of two sliding panels, that met in between. It was like a huge door to do something. I walked up to it and examined it carefully.

I noticed a square depression that had a hole in it. I pushed inside my indec finger in it and tried to pull it.

The square depression which looked like a lid came out to be a scanning system in the wall; more like a system with a password to open the two sliding doors. 

"Feed in the voice password." A mechanic sound beeped.

Obviously I did not know the password. I wanted to try opening it, but these kind of system didn't give you the chance to try. They had this simple rule, 'The right person knows the right password and doesn't requires tries'. So if something wrong was fed in, an alarm would go off.

I still wonder what was there behind that sliding wall. So when I was done with Reev's room, I went upstairs. Yup. She has two floors. There were two rooms there, one was a library and the other was storage.

But I couldn't find anything except cartons of chocolate and also 'Cream 'n' Onion' chips, and I literally freaked out. I cant believe she survived on these two things.

Days passed on line like that. I knew that Reev came home sometimes, because I would find my bed made, a car key hanging in its place while the other key was gone. I would find a few Cream 'n' Onion packets in the dustbin or some coffee made up for me when i got up. 

But I don't like this. It is like you are living with some invisible person. I need to talk to Reev. But now I would go about reading a book till I fall asleep.

Reev's POV

Aaah! So much work! Seriously! This tomato head knows hacking so well! I am actually glad that he is the one I need to monitor. I can learn so much from him. But he got such weird glasses. So weird that...i need them!! I am tapping at my computer he is tapping at his. Computers, wires cameras, security systems thats all that is around. I need to clean the place sometimes. No matter how much I was into hacking, I would never let my place be so dirty. Honey Buddha Chips wrappers all around. Dr. Pepper cans all around. His clothes, broken wires, he even has a freaking signal post in his house!! I sighed as I picked up all the rubbish and sorted them out. This guy survived on HBC and Dr. Pepper like I survived on CNOC (Cream 'n' Onion Chips) and Chocolates. 

I was on my way back home. I looked at the dial my watch. 1:49 am. Yup! Such an amazing time to be home. We pulled all nighters at times or stayed back late. I had to go back home after all. Gotta check if Fai is ok. Mostly she would be asleep on the table or on the couch and I would pick her up and take her to bed. 

I am so worried though. What if someone attacks her? I should give her a taser but then would she get scared of the increasing danger? Lately 707 has not been looking into our agent work, saying that some hacker has hacked into some messenger he made and the RFA and all. I got no time to look into all those matters. If we dont get our agent work finished on time they may as well do away with us, that is, kill us. 

Now I am working double. I wish Fai will be ok. But I dont know why..I am getting that strange gut feeling again, that she is going to be attacked.
