Trevor

I was surprised when my phone ran. I looked at the Caller ID, and was further surprised when I saw it was Angel. "Hello," I said calmly, not letting the surprise show in my voice. "How are you, Angel?"

"Fine," she said, her voice cold. I could tell that she was slightly upset that she had to call me, but somewhat relieved that I answered. I could imagine her leaning her forehead against the wall, eyes closed. "I need food."

The way she said it, so simplisticly, made me hurt inside. She didn't want to ask for help, that much I knew, but she was forced to. "I'll get some," I said. I wished I could be there so I could show her how much I meant it. "I'll get some. I'll be there soon."

She hung up, and I held the phone to my ear for a few seconds longer before closing it and putting it in my pocket. I went out to my car and started it, then walked back to the house to get my wallet. After grabbing it from my bedroom, I went back out to the car.

Driving to Angel's house, I had a terrible thought. The second time I 'saved' Achlys, she died. This was about my second time saving Angel, and I was afraid of what I would find.
