A Date...?

"So, it's like a date?"

Shadow glared at Shade, who just swung his legs on top of his dresser. He sighed, clasping his ring on his wrist.

"No," Shadow growled out, throwing his glove at the other, "He just wants to hang out."

"Yeaaaa," Shade mocked, throwing the glove back at Shadow. "Just you two. Alone. And who knows where he might take you. Maybe to his bed?"

Shadow couldn't help rolling his eyes.

"You and Heiru hang out alone to go to places, so would you consider that a date?" Shadow deadpanned.

"That's different," Shade smirked, "Heiru and I are just best friends. We hang out all the time. You and Sonic barely do that."

Shadow rolled his eyes again and put on his last ring. Red eyes decide to just glare at Shade again. The other had came into the house a few hours ago. He decided to wake Shadow up(who didn't really want to until an hour ago) and when he didn't, Shade just plopped himself into Shadow's bed. Shadow did not bother with that just happy that he could sleep a little longer.

"It's not a date," Shadow muttered knowing that there was no way he could fight against Shade.

After a few moments of silence, Shade walked over to the door.

"Y'know, I could always go ask him if he likes you," Shade offered, leaning against the door frame.

Shadow stared at Shade with a little shock.

"And wouldn't that be suspicious? Faker barely knows you."

"No. Even if, I know how people act when they have a lil' crush on another person." Shade grinned.

"Would have never guessed," Shadow said sarcastically.

"You got jealous when Amy hugged him," Shade chuckled.

"No! She's-"

"'Just annoying?'" Shade quoted. "You have tried to kill me when you have said I am very annoying. But yet you don't do anything with her?"

"Shut up..."

"See?! My point exactly!"

Sonic glared at the clock, feeling like it was taunting him. He swore time could not go ANY slower than it was now! A groan escaped his lips as he sunk back into the couch. Tails had asked him why he had seemed impatient, which Sonic just grinned and said it was about the job. Sonic didn't want to tell Tails that he was going to be meeting Shadow. Luckily, Tails didn't bother to say anything else and went back to what he was doing. The knocking on he door made Sonic glance at the clock.

Sonic inwardly groaned this time and went to answer the door.

"Oh hi!"

Sonic looked at the green hedgehog.

"Shade?" Sonic chocked out.

"Wait the green hedgehog?" Tails stood up and glanced out the door.

"Yeah," Shade waved. "Hi Tails! Didn't think a young kid like you would be amazing with tech."

Tails made a squeak like a mouse.

"How would you know?" Tails looked at Sonic.

"Eh... Shadow and Shade went to my house to talk about some stuff," Sonic said, adding a nervous chuckle. He turned back to Shade. "What are you doing here anyway?"
