~Cara's POV~

"I still say this is stupid" i muttered into my phone, Mark on the other line. "What if theres a lot to do today?" I asked as i started to put my shoes on to leave for work. Any longer and i would be late.

"Nonsense!" Mark exclaimed on the other line "this is a great idea" he continued trying to convince me to ditch work with him today.

"Right, and im a bird" i said sarcastically into the phone. I heard his deep chuckle encho through the phone.

"Just hang on, ill be there in like 30 seconds" he said, although it sounded like he was panting.

"30 seconds? Mark, what the hell are you doing?" I asked him, looking at my phone oddly.

"Just...hang...on" he said. Suddenly, a loud banging echoed through my house.

I swung the door open, non other than to reveal Mark. Amazing.

"Did you just-" i was cut off by him raising his hand to my face as he bent down, trying to catch his breath.

R.I.P mark. Died from exercice. I told him i dont like it for a reason.

"Stay" he said, barging into my house and going to my kitchen. For a glass of water i would assume. Despite what he said, i following him into the kitchen.

This is my house. Im not gonna follow your bitch ass, boo.

"Stay? What am I? A dog?" I laughed as he downed another glass of water, holding onto a chair for support. I made my way to him and put his arm around me so he could walk to the couch with ease.

"Well you are a bitc-" i cut him off instantly with "and you arent?"

"Point taken" he shrugged his shoulders.

"So any reason for your little marathon?" I asked him.

"I said 30 seconds" he rubbed the back of his neck. "And then i saw how much further your house was than i thought but...yeah?"

Aww

I just laughed at him as he leaned back in relaxation, exhausted from running all the way here.

"So..." he trailed off "now that we're late" he pointed out.

God dammit. I see what he did there.

"Ahuh" i said. "This is so your fault" i muttered, sighing.

"I know" he beamed at me, looking at me with a gummy smile. "Now we can do whatever we want" he said. "And since youre already dressed and ready"

He grabbed my hand and dragged me out the door, locking it behind me after grabbing my keys too.

"Wait!" I exclaimed. "My wallet"

"You wont need that" he said with a cheeky grin. "Im here"

Thankfully my phone was already in my pocket. I dont want him to pay though.

No, not for the reason you may think. Its because im hungry. Really hungry.

Whatever, if he complains its his fault. Ill just pay him back later i suppose.

He started dragging me along the sidewalk but i quickly stopped him because of a sudden sharp pain in my stomach.

Fuck not now please.

He glanced over his shoulder and smiled at me before quickly realizing something was wrong.

"Are you okay?" He asked me, rushing to hold me so i could stand properly.

"Yeah, im not dying" i tried to laugh through the pain.

"What's wrong?" He asked me.

"You wouldnt want to know. Can you just take me home?" I asked him, still in pain. A look of realization washed over his his face.

"I have sisters, its fine" he said, taking me back home. I unlocked the door and he layed me down on the couch so i was comfortable.

"Ill be back in a few minutes okay?" He told me before running out. I just watched as the door closed before grabbing my phone.

Lets try stalking that idiot brother of mine i guess.

Minutes passed by and before i knew it, Mark was back with paper bags in both arms. He set them down on the table in front of me and brought out its contents.

"I wasnt sure what you were craving so i bought some ice cream, chocolates and chocolate ice cream" he mumbled proudly as he brought them out. I couldnt help but grin at what he did.

"I also brought my hard drive. It has a bunch of movies so let me hook this up while you eat" he said, walking over to the tv to attach a few wires while i opened a chocolate wrapper.

When we finally decided on a movie, he sat on the carpet in front of me. "You could sit on the couch you know" I said, moving my feet off the couch.

"No no" he said, putting my feet back on the couch. "You look comfy". "But still" i said "you shouldn't sit on the floor. You dont look comfortable"

"Fine then" he said, standing up. I moved my feet, assuming hed take the spot where my feet were but instead, he lifted the upper part of my body and sat where my head was before laying my head down on his lap.

I didnt bother fighting is since it was actually quite comfortable on his lap.

"Being a girl sucks" i whined, snuggling into his lap. He just laughed and ran his fingers through my hair, which might i ass was kinda comforting

"Being my girl wouldnt" he joked. I laughed and agreed.

"Your future girlfriend would be very lucky" i told him. He looked down at me with a grin.

"She would be very lucky"
