~Cara's POV~

He kept trying to make a conversation with me but i didnt really feel like it. I still have those annoying memories with him from before when he would try to convince me we were dating.

I mean, he doesnt know its me now...maybe i should try giving him a fresh start? I never really got to know him to be fair. Maybe he wont be that bad? You know, when hes not being an annoying shit.

"So where did you live when you were still in Australia?" He asked me after i answered his previous question...s.

"Why? Are you going to stalk the last place ive lived in?" I tried to joke since i didnt really feel like answering. I thought maybe it might give some important piece of information away.

"Maybe i might" he winked, biting his lip ring before letting out a laugh. I laughed with him and held onto the food and drink tighter since I was laughing. I didnt really want to but more food just because i dropped these.

We entered the building and thankfully some of the tension between us disappeared. I took my seat which was next to Mark and handed him his drink. Eating with him every after work helped me in deciding what to get him at least.

He smiled and thanked me for the drink. He looked around the room and slung his arm around me again. I leaned into his side unconsciously. Hes done it so many times i guess it just became a habit.

"You guys would make a cute couple" Ashton blurted. Michael quickly hit his head and shushed him, saying "They werent supposed to know we were talking about them"

"We were all thinking it okay?" Ashton mumbled after prying the younger boys hands off his mouth.

"Alright gossip girls, would either of you like to get back to work?" I raised my eyebrows at them, trying to conceal the blush that was fighting its way onto my cheeks. Mark pulled me closer but didnt say anything although i could see him smile a bit.

"I think you mean "Mean girls"" Calum muttered. "Luke's favorite"

"Whatever" i shrugged.

"Hey" Luke butted in defensively. "Mean girls is a good movie". We all just laughed at him and nodded our heads while i rolled my eyes at him.

Once we were done recording, we told the guys we might leave earlier than them if they didnt move faster. "Move it" I shoved Mark playfully "I wanna eat"

"Oh yeah, speaking of eating" Mark said, ignoring my weak shove and turning to the side, he asked the guys "Do you guys wanna join us for dinner? Its kinda a thing we do. We usually eat dinner together everyday after work"

I saw Luke twitch a bit but it was probably my imagination. They all looked at each other and nodded in agreement, saying they would love to join us. We headed out of the building together, trying to decide on a place to eat.

"I'm glad we finished early today" Michael said, grabbing another skice of pizza.

"I think you mean "Im glad we decided to cut work today and push everything to tomorrow"" Mark munbled. "Or as most call it, procrastinating". Despite what he said, he looked amused and relieved that we ended early.

Mark looked at the guys before looking down at his food. Instead of joining the conversation with us, he stayed silent, listening to whatever we were saying instead.

Once we all finished eating, we got up and walked out of the restaurant, bidding everyone goodbye.

I was about to walk off but i was stopped by a hand that grabbed me. I felt my heart skip a beat when i turned to see Mark holding my wrist.

I looked at him, waiting for him to say sonething. He looked at me, opening his mouth to say something but closed it after nothing came out of his mouth.

"Sorry" he finally said, still not letting my wrist go. "I just wanted to ask if you wanted me to walk you" he took a step closer. "I know it isnt that far but with them joining us, I still want time with you alone"

"Oh" was all that came out of my mouth, not really knowing how to respond. My cheeks flushed slightly but thankfully it was already dark.

"Also its dark" he added. "I forgot about it for a while but my mothdr taught me that i shouldnt let someone like you walk alone home in the dark"

"What do you mean "someone like me"?" I asked him.

~Mark's POV~

"What do you mean "someone like me"?" she asked me, looking like she was debating whether or not to be offended or confused. She looked adorable as she pursed her lips, cheels still slightly blushed from a moment ago.

Someone like you. Someone who is special to me is what i meant.

"Nothing" I tried to play it off. "Someone who hits weak" i ruffled her hair. She rolled her eyes and smacked my hand away from her hair, fixing it back into plave although she looked beautiful either way.

She seemed to not have noticed my lie and let me walk her home. As much as I enjoy the presence of the other guys, I liked having time alone with her.

Maybe this could be a daily thing like our dinners. Hopefully. And more.
