never heard of us

Its a fresh Sunday. Seeing Murph yesterday at the store was pretty awkward. I never knew he was that sensitive, damn. I wish i had acted better. "Ty, we still have an art exhibit to go to!" My dad yells from afar. My dad loves art. Its all over our house. Though my mom hasn't been in the picture lately, its just me and my dad.

Im still shirtless in bed. I better get ready. I put on a red suit and a black tie. I had to look formal.

At the art gallery my dad walks up to me with a lovely young girl with him. "This is Sadie, daughter of your mothers friend.." my dad introduces me to her. "Im sure shes not the only daughter Evelyn has.." a girl from my school walks up.
"Ah! I almost forgot, this is Sage." my dad says. "Im sure she goes to my school" i say. "Yep, your son in pretty famous there." Im starting to feel uncomfortable with the three of them. "Excuse me." i didn't wanna be rude but i just had to get out of there..

I get out of the exhibit. I see Val skating down towards the alley. "Val, wait up!!" I call her. "Oh, hey Ty. Nice suit."
Val is like my big sister, even though I'm older. She never fails to hear me out or make me smile. She's my best friend.

Me and Val go get a latte while I totally forgot that i left my dad at that exhibit.

"Where are you?" Dad texts.
"Im fine, Dad. Just went out for some coffee." Hope he isn't mad.
"Ok."

I see a guy in a black hoodie walking towards the road. A car is coming. I had to come for him.
He almost gets hit by a car. I run to him and grab him by the arm.

It's Murphy.

"What were you thinking?!?!" I yell at him. I had to. He didn't have the right to take his own life. "oh please don't act like we both are even friends." He should be thanking me honestly. I take a close look at my hands and its a little bloody.
"Oh no. Please don't do this." Why does he slit his wrists? "its not your business" he gets up and walks away.

Val comes out of the coffee shop. "What happened?" She asks. "Uh.. the emo guy at school.. he.. tried to kill himself." It was a shocking experience to be honest.. "i always worry about that guy.. his family's a mess and now he's being bullied."
Wow.. i wish i knew. I could have hugged him as a stranger if he never wanted a friend.. "i gotta get going. Its late." Val says. "Me too. Thanks for tonight" (what a night lol)

I couldn't stop thinking about Murph. Im now worried about him. I wonder how Val is holding up..

"Shocking." I say.
"I told ya' he got issues."
"If i only knew."
"I need to get some sleep. Its school time tomorrow."
"Gn"
"Goodnight."
