Today is the day that I move. I really dont want to move, this is the town I grew up in. This is also the town where I met my bestfriend.Jamie. But she's gone now and all that i have left is the memories that we had together. Moving is like erasing all of those memories.
"Are you ready to go, Marissa?" My mom asks me. "Yeah, mom." I say back.
I watch out the car window as our house disappears. I get that lump in my throat and a tear streams down my face. I hope my parents dont look back at me. If they saw me they'd say "Aw sweetie its okay! Things will be fine!" And right now I dont want to be talked to. My dad notices but he just gives me a sad smile like he understands.
Its the middle of june and i just finished 6th grade, so I'll be going to a new school for 7th grade. This year was hard for me since I didnt have Jamie by my side. I made new friends but things could never be the same after she died in a car accident. I remember hearing the news on the phone. It was almost like I couldnt breathe.
I never thought that things could get better, but nows that chance that things will. Maybe.
