Chapter 5:Everybody talks

Kira pov

When I arrived back home, Itami was the only one awake. I had a slight feeling that that would happen for some reason, probably because of Ace's apparent case of narcolepsy, he falls asleep easily.

'Speaking of which, I need to create a prescription for him so that he has better control of when he falls asleep.'

But anyway, I came inside, and remembered the conversation that I had earlier with Itami. "I'm home." I state. Itami sleepily looked over to me, "How was it?" she asked. I nod, a smile on my face, "It was a amazing night. He took me to the fire fly park." The warmth of Itami's smile beamed on me as I proceeded to brew some Chamomile tea for myself. "Now back to business..." I muttered under my breath. Itami gave me a confused look, "What do you mean?" I gave her a dead serious stare, "The conversation that we didn't get to finish before Marco came." I mentioned.

Itami's shift in emotion was obvious. From what I could tell, she looked nervous about telling me whats up with Marco. It was annoying. Why can't she just say it? After all, if I'm going to be dating Marco from now on, then I'll have to know him, right? He knows what I've been through, and I only know bits & pieces of him. I know that he's part of the Whiteboard mafia. I know that he has a adopted sister named Victoria. I know that he is 28. I know that he has a speech impediment. I know that he wanted to be a photographer when he left school, but things didn't go his way. It isn't enough information for me to work with. I, after all, need all the details. Its absolutely paramount.

Itami sighs softly, "You're not going to like it, at all." she starts. "Well we don't know that until you actually tell me." I observed, stating the obvious. "Okay...." she looked at me straight in the eye, "Before you & him met, Marco...he was hugely known throughout the mafia, as that guy that you go to for a good one night stand. All the girls would fall all over themselves for him. He'd agree to it." I waited for a 'but', a reason, but no reason came. "There was another girl as well, who he had once came upon because he felt sorry for her. This girl had her heart broken by her ex, and she went to him for..'guidance'. But then she asked if she could go out with him, and he straight up said No. With a set face. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen this girl in a while-"

"Yes but is he talking to her anymore?" I bursted. Itami flinched at my sudden outburst, "N-No...not that I know of anyway. All I know is, is that she's still around, and that she isn't around." Itami concludes. "Oh so whats her name?" I question. Itami put on a thoughtful look, "I think it was.....Yatsume Kyona." she revealed. I shrug, "Never heard of her, and never will. So long as she doesn't get in my way, then she can live.."

'For now.'

"The whole reason why I want to warn you about him Kira, is because of this." Itami adds. "Yes, but is he doing it now? No. Then I have nothing to worry about! He told me that he loves me, and that he'd do anything for me! He wouldn't say that to another one of his flings!" I argued. Itami gave me solemn stare for a bit, before sighing, "Okay..okay! Do what you want. Just....be careful, okay?" she asked. I smirk, "When has that ever not happened?"
