Chapter 26:Stuck

Third pov

After having that chat with Victoria, Marco mentally set himself a plan. He stayed up all night, and gained no sleep as he had his mind set on one thing: to talk to Kira. One might say: "Oh that sounds like a fairly simple task. Its only talking." Well...not unless you know the current situation between the two. If Marco was to talk to Kira about the other day, then he'll definitely have to catch her alone, where no one can interrupt, and where Kira can't run away.

'She isn't allowed to hide from me anymore, yoi. From now on, if something is bothering us, then we have to tell each other, yoi. And then once this is all settled...I'm taking her out of this goddamn city, yoi.'

Marco chucked Kira a text, saying that he's gonna come over when she finished work. A few minutes later, he got a reply back, saying that she'll be home around 7pm, and that she'll text him when she's home. Once that was confirmed Marco went out for a few hours to clear his mind, and to get a grasp as to what he was going to say to her exactly.

Kira looked over to the time, and saw that it was soon coming up on for her to finish work for the day. She mentally fought back at how much work she did, and smiled to herself, "I think I've done what I can." she shut her laptop down, and turned everything in her office off. She then packed up her things, and left the office. She shut the door behind her, and locked it for security measures. She walked down the halls, and could hear patients around her in their rooms watching tv, eating or talking to relatives on the phone. She walked by some young nurses, and they all acknowledged her.

Finally, she went inside the elevator, and clicked on the bottom floor button. But just as she was about to close it, someone called out, "Wait!" The person that ran in, was a young male, a year or two younger than her. He looked like he would've been a college student. He had chin length blonde hair, and a scar over one of his eyes. He also had kind looking azure blue eyes. He smiled sheepishly, "Sorry, do ya mind if I quickly just come in here as well, I'm in a bit of a hurry." 

'No, don't let him come in!'

Kira put on a fake smile, "Sure, go ahead." He grinned at her, "Thank you, Miss." he pressed the close door button, and chuckled, "Oh, I didn't see that we're going to the same floor, coincidence, isn't it?" he asked. Kira nervously swallowed some saliva, "Y-Yeah...strange." The rest of the ride down was silent. But in Kira's mind, it felt like it was going on forever. She was starting to become paranoid.

'I don't even know this man! He could have vile intentions..he might hurt me! I need to get out-'

But then her thoughts were silenced when the elevator suddenly jolted, and the light switched off. The only thing lighting everything, was a dim red light. Kira's eyes went wide, and her whole body tensed.

'This...can't be happening!'

"Huh? The elevator stopped." The blonde male stared at the door, "This is certainly strange..I've never been in a situation like this-" but his eyes swept over to Kira, who was hyperventilating, "W-Whoa! M-Miss are you okay?" he stammered. Kira looked at him, and backed herself into the corner, "D-Don't come any closer!" Kira cautioned, grabbing out pepper spray from her hand bag. He raised his hands, "I-I don't mean any harm, Miss! I honestly just want to help-" "STAY BACK!" Kira cried, tears falling. 

Memories of Kyona, Kotaro & Josiah taunted her all in a sudden flash. All she could hear was their voices, all talking at the same time. For her it almost felt like the voices were becoming louder, as they all horridly reminded her of the many times she was sexually harassed. "Its really okay, Miss! Don't you worry, I'll call for help right now. Just stay calm, I'll be with you in a moment!" The blonde male eased. He whipped out his phone, and dialled a number. It was a moment before someone on the phone picked up.

"Hey Ace, its Sabo here."

'Ace!?!'

"Yeah, I'm in a bit of a trouble. I'm at the hospital, and I was visiting Koala. I was just leaving in the elevator, and the elevator suddenly stopped! I'm in here with another lady as well..and she's panicking......What? You wanna know what she looks like? Ace, you have Itami-oh you might know her? Hold on..." Sabo looked over to Kira, "She has long blonde hair, and red eyes..she looks like she's a doctor here....Lemme ask her." Sabo took the phone away, "Miss, is your name Kira by any chance? My brother Ace here knows you." Kira nods, "C-Can I speak with him?" Sabo pressed his ear on the phone again, "Yeah her names Kira, she wants to speak with you....okay, I'm handing it over to her now." 

Sabo walked over to Kira, and handed her the phone. She shakily reached out, and put it to her ear, "A-Ace?" "Ah I knew that it was you! How are you doing?" "I'm freaking out, Ace!" Kira cried. "Shh sshh its gonna be okay, have you called Marco?" he asked. "No, my phone is dead. Oh god what would've happened if-" "Kira everything is going to be okay. I'll call Marco, and tell him about whats up. You have nothing to worry about! You're with my brother after all-" "I thought you said that you only have Luffy?" Kira asked. "What? I guess I never told you, Sabo is my other brother. He's a student at Kakumei University. He's visiting for a couple weeks, but his friend is in hospital because she's caught a stomach bug. But anyway, you have nothing to worry about! Sabo's a good guy, and he has a girlfriend already. The worst thing he could do is...nothing! I'll call the Fire brigade." Kira smiled nervously, "Thank you, Ace." "See ya soon!"

The phone hung up, and she handed the phone back to Sabo, who gave her a friendly smile, "So how do you know my older brother?" he asked. Kira wiped away her tears, "He's dating my cousin, and I'm dating his best friend." "Wait, you're Itami's cousin?" Sabo asked. Kira nods, "She's related to me on her Dads side of the family." she explained. Sabo nods, "Wow..what a total coincidence!" he laughed. Kira chuckled, "Its all kinda funny if you think about it." Sabo sighed, "Yeah...lets just hope that help comes soon." he then adds, "Gosh, I hope my girlfriend won't freak about it." he laughed. "Well, if she's worried then that mean she cares about you endlessly." Kira adds. Sabo nods, "Yeah, you're right."

'Maybe..maybe it was a good thing that I got stuck here after all.'
