The World That Never Was

*Braig's POV*

"Are you listening Braig?" I managed to swiftly dodge the knife that was thrown at me as I sat, my head rested on my hand, at the table. I was indeed listening, just not as much as Ansem'd like. I glanced over at him, sighing and lifting my head from my hand.

"Yeah, I'm listening." I replied, sitting back in the chair and folding my arms, my feet finding their way onto the table top. "But not very well..." Ansem threw a glare at me, before continuing with what he was saying. I looked over at Isa, and raised a brow as he stared intently at the table, sighing softly. I shifted my glance up to Ansem and sighed myself. My god, I wish these things would stop. It pisses me off, how much Ansem goes on about Xehanort. We don't have 13 people, get over it. Our last plan was sabotaged, get over it. Isa and I are pretty tired of hearing the same plan over and over. It's not as though the things gonna bloody happen. I finally stood up from my seat, stretching my arms out as Ansem cleared his throat. I looked down at him and shrugged.

"Braig, sit down, I'm not finished..."

"We've heard this before, I think I know what you're gonna say by now." Isa perked his head up, looking at me, his eyebrows raised and then looked down to the table top again.

"He is right, Ansem. We have heard this a many time before." I nodded, and smiled, turning and walking of to my room.

"See?" I called, waving a hand in the air. "I'll be in my room if ya need me." I heard Ansem let out a sigh and grinned. How easy it was to wind him up. I opened my door, almost instantly falling onto my bed as I slammed the door closed. Being an evil bastard isn't like it used to be any more. It's more plan, plan, plan. Do, do, do. Take over, run the world, get your ass kicked. I suppose I could leave, but then where the hell would I go? Back to Radiant Gardens? I doubt everyone'd be happy to see me. Or Isa. And definitely not Ansem. Who am I kidding? I don't wanna be the bad guy anymore. It bores the hell outta me. I fell backwards onto my bed and stared at the ceiling, before making a portal to the outside sky, pouring a sea of stars above me.

I miss home...

Destiny Islands

*Marxie's POV*

Sora and Riku'd decided to visit us again, and although I don't mind, seeing them almost every evening is a little repetitive. At the moment, Sora, Riku, Myde and I were in the middle of a game of monopoly, and my god, does it take forever to finish a game. I'm surprised the boys haven't decided to-

"That's it, I bloody give up." Myde sat back onto the sofa, throwing the cards he hand in his hand on the coffee table. I stand corrected...

"Aw, Myde, we were on a good roll there." Sora waved his hand towards the board. Myde raised an eyebrow at Sora and looked at me, pointing to me.

"And have you seen who's brought everything?" Sora looked at me and opened his mouth to protest before closing it as he realized, Myde was right. I had almost everything on the board. I am too good at this game.

"And we weren't exactly getting anywhere." Riku put his cards on the table, leaning back on his hands. He looked at Sora and frowned. "Just give up now while you have the chance." Sora looked at me and I grinned.

"Unless of course you wanna finish the game with me." Sora dropped his cards on the table and pouted.

"Man, this is stupid. You always win..." I laughed, putting my cards in the box and beginning to put the game back away.

"That's true, how exactly do you manage to do that?" I shrugged at Riku as he furrowed his brows.

"I suppose I'm just lucky." I smirked and put the lid on the box. Standing from the floor, I picked up the game and carried it to the cupboard where it'd stay until we decided to play it again.

"So now what are we supposed to do?" Myde sighed, folding his arms.

"What you usually do. Put telly on, and start shouting at the football." I looked between Myde and Riku, who looked at each other guiltily. I shook my head and looked at Sora who was now standing next to me. I smiled at his slightly worried face and tilted my head.

"Can I talk to you, for a minute?" I nodded and he pulled me by my arm into the kitchen.

"What is it?" I asked as Sora jumped up on the work top, playing with the crown pendant on his necklace.

"I... I 'heard' him..." Sora said softly. I looked up, a slight gasp escaping my lips.

"W-What?" Sora looked up at me.

"I 'heard' him, Marxie..." The brunette smiled. "I actually 'heard' him. It was only very brief, but I 'heard' it."

"What did he say?" I asked, touching my left wrist. My jumper sleeve rolled up, revealing the black and white checkered wristband I wore.

"I can't really remember." Sora replied a little sorrily. I smiled and shook my head.

"It's fine, at least he's said something." I looked to the wristband and chuckled. "It's nice to have 'contact' with someone else other than Myde." Sora jumped down and pulled me in for a hug.

"I know it's hard to live with a memory you can't forget but..." He let go and put his hands on my shoulders. "You got us to get through it, right?" I nodded and smiled softly.

"Roxas. It seems weird to think he's kinda actually here right now." Sora smiled his trademark smile and laughed.

"Hey. I'm still me though right?"

"Of course, Sora!" I smiled awkwardly and held him in a head lock. "You'll still always be our stupid one."

"I'm not stupid!" He freed himself from my grip and straightened his jacket. He looked to see my wrist and smiled gently. "You wear checkers?" I looked down to the wristband and pulled down my sleeve.

"So what if I do?" I asked, pushing past him only to lean against the door frame, folding my arms and raising a brow at Myde and Riku both sitting on the edge of the sofa. I glanced at Sora and smiled as he came up next to me. Riku's hand was balling into a fist and Myde's hands were edging closer and closer off the edge of his knees before being reeled in up to his face. What did I tell ya? Standing in front of the TV, my arms folded, the two tried their best to look round me but instead failing and looking up at me, a look of complaint on both their faces. I blinked, balling my hand into a fist before a bright light lead an oversized key to my hand. I saw Sora grin out the corner of my eye as I cleared my throat, tapping the bladed weapon on my hip. The two smiled up at me, rather a fake smile, sitting back on the sofa, leaving the TV controller in the middle of the two. The blade vanished and I sat next to Myde, the controller in my hand and my arm hooked round Mydes. Sora jumped between Riku and I, resting his hands behind his head, and smiling widely.

"7 o'clock." Sora chirped.

"Time for a film." I flicked the channel, the football disappearing and a film replacing it. A small whine came from Myde and Riku as Sora and I chuckled softly to ourselves. I smiled lightly, as I imagined a forth person sitting with us, his blonde spikes swerved in an unnatural angle and his cerulean blue eyes filled with mischief, much like Sora's.

I miss you, Roxas...
