Missing Hearts

Science Class

So many things were going through my head. What was he going to say? What was he going to do? Was he actually going to do what he says? Oh my...

"I... Why... What do you want me to do, Krissy?"

"Well, I have some ideas, but we'll have to go someplace else. This is to... Public. Come to my house tonight and we'll discuss more."

I didn't hear any more. I couldn't hear what he was about to say. I ran all the way to the girls toilets, tears streaming down my face. Kristen was a mean, horrid person with no reason for living other than ruining other peoples lives. I sat down on the freezing toilet seat. I couldn't stop thinking that maybe, just maybe, Caspar wasn't the one.

After what felt like days, but in reality was half an hour in the toilets, I slowly walked back to class. It was science, and my lab partner was Dan, thank god. When I got there, it was straight to the annoying questions with Miss Boxley. "Where have you been? Why are you so late? Do you realise that this is preparing you for your GCSEs? You can't continue like this, you know!"

"Yes Miss, sorry Miss, I won't do it again."

I went to sit down in my seat, which was next to Dan, and on my other side was Peter, who completely ignored me. We were doing an experiment, and I needed my book which was on the other side of Peter, in a massive pile. I decided to ask him if I could have my book, but all I got in return was a dirty look. So I went to get it myself, only to see that it wasn't there. I looked back to my place, and it was there with a message stuck to it.

'Go to the astro at 6pm tonight, come with no-one but yourself'

As I wondered what the message was about and who sent it, school carried on around me, and I stayed in the science basement for the rest of the day.
