Chapter#1

"Sorry...sorry...move! Excuse me....sorry..." I wrestled the crowd, finally getting into the column that had a small board saying,

FIELD TRIP STUDENTS TO ASSEMBLE HERE.

There was a huge commotion in our school's large main ground and everyone seemed to be confused about what they were supposed to do. I looked around at the breathless teachers trying to form proper lines with the children and carefree students not listening to anything anyone was saying. I took a deep breath as lots of students started coming up to join the line, pushing me back and standing in front of me, not even looking at me.

I was the normal, average sixteen year old, trying to make a place for myself in my last years of high school, and desperately failing! See, there are only three types of people who can get away with high school the way they want to: Cheerleaders, Football players and Niall Horan! First it's the pretty, blonde cheerleaders, for example our school's number one show off, Haley Holiday. I couldn't blame her for how she acted, I mean, when you've got amazing cherry-blonde hair, green eyes, perfect complexion and a stunning body, why would you not use your charm sometimes....or in Haley's case, all the time! She even has those two stuck up bimbos that hang around with her making her feel like a queen!

Then there were the guys of the football team! ok, so I know how football is just a game, but here, at Lakeside High, there was nothing, and I mean nothing more important than football! Every year our team would win the matches they'd compete in and every year football became more serious! Obviously all the guys were top on top hot and any other boy who would be good looking and wasn't in the football team, wasn't considered hot! These guys own the school. Whatever they want, whenever they want it....they have it! The quarterback of the team is the most annoying. He's adorable but he's a big player. He's tailed me a few times and asked me out but I wasn't going to take the risk of facing Haley when she got to know I was dating the guy she had a huge crush on. His name's AJ and we all have come to believe that A and J don't really stand for anything!

Then there's, last but most important, Niall Horan!

He's an exchange student from all the way from Ireland because his dad got a really high pay job here, in Dallas. He's the school's charm right now, mostly because of these three things,

He's really cute,

He's good with the boys and a killer for the girls (even though he's not in the football team)

and....he's Irish!

There will not be a second where you won't see him surrounded by girls or playing in the field, surrounded by the boys. He was in my batch and although I didn't talk to him much....or at all, I've caught him constantly looking at me once or twice. He's nice, or so I've heard! and he's been followed by Haley and her girls alot of times and I've kept him in my good books because he said he thought Haley was a stuck up **** with nothing better to do than stand on top of the cheerleading pyramid! I think the best way to describe him would be....different.

"Move it, peasant! I should be the first to get on the bus!" an amazingly annoying voice of Haley said, pushing me at the back and some of the other students too and disappearing somewhere in front. I realized I had been pushed to the very end. If only I had a proper friend! In fact, I didn't have any friends. People like me were dragged through their high school lives!

Much of the commotion had ended and people knew where to go. I was in a group of students going to a field trip in the mountains somewhere for some small survival training demo thing. I had said my goodbyes at home in the morning and wasn't really excited for a trip of twenty days with people I hardly knew. I was in tenth grade and we were going to this trip with four teachers and six seniors (eleventh graders), who were also part of the executive team who'd teach us how to go about the trip. I was pretty excited because there's this one guy in the executive team who's just amazing and looks perfect! He's a serious yet very immature person and is a total heartthrob! In case you were wondering, he's in the football team!

I've had an unimaginable crush on him since the day I came to this school and that was in grade five! His name's Louis Tomlinson and he's- this is the best part- British!

"Oh Damn! I forgot the packet of chips in my desk!" a weird, different accent spoke. I turned around to face a boy, dirty blonde, blue eyes and fair, light red face, with his right hand on his forehead, covering his eye and his other hand holding a bag pack.

I automatically let out a laugh and rapidly covered my mouth. He looked at me with a slight smile that said did I do something? I stopped laughing and put my hand down.

"You can still go get them! or you can buy them when we stop at a market in the middle!" I suggested, trying to help the Irish man out.

"Yeah...maybe I'll just buy some!" he said, smiling. He put his hand forward at me and said, "Bond, James Bond!"

I started giggling and shook his hand saying, "Welcome 007!"

He laughed along and said, "Niall Horan....that's my real name!"

I nodded, smiling, and said, "Yes, I know....I'm Jenna Grey...nice meeting you!"

"Jenna? That's nice!" he said. Just then Coach Thorne came, our school's football coach, a man in about his late thirties, shabby brown hair and blue darting eyes. He was always in his uniform and had a very annoying, shrill whistle hanging around his neck. He had a microphone and spoke through it.

"Field trip students to start walking towards the bus and take your seats...like humans!"

We all walked to the bus and as I was somewhere in the end of the line, I got a seat right infront, with Mrs. Shelby. She was my English teacher and didn't quiet like me. I had a note book in my hand and my bag pack in the other. Walking up to my seat, someone pushed me from the back and my notebook fell out of my hands and somewhere on the bus floor. I tried searching for it but someone had already walked over it and accidentally skid it under some chair.

Mrs. Shelby forced me to sit down and I did. I couldn't let anyone read that notebook. It had something really important written inside. And I couldn't loose it either. I looked around and found it underneath a seat. I quickly counted which seat it was and wrote it on my hand with a blue pen.

4th row, window seat.

I looked forward, hoping it would be there when the bus stopped at the supply store. The store was twenty minutes away and then the ride to the camp was at least two or three hours.

I could see Louis sitting next to his best friend Harry. So the scene with these two boys is, they came together from Britain and liked it here, so there families are still in Britain and these two visit them every holiday season. I think that's not the story. There's something else that stopped them here in Dallas...but I could never pin point what it was.

I spotted Niall with his head phones on and looking out of the window while a group of girls were constantly staring at him! And now I was also one of the girls staring at him. I shook my head and looked forward.

"Want some?" Mrs. Shelby asked, opening a pack of peanuts. I smiled and said,

"No, I'm good! Thankyou!"
