Chapter 9

**Steph's POV**

I walked in the house and Shawn and Lauren were having a screaming match. Lauren glared at me and started to walk towards me.

"Congrats, bitch. You win." she walked out of the house and ran down the sidewalk.

"What does she mean by that?"I asked. I was so confused. So many things were going through my mind which didn't help.

Shawn ran his hands over his face and plopped down on the couch.

"Shawn!" I yelled.

"I like you, ok!! I like you as more then a friend!" he spoke loudly.

"What are you talking about!?"

"That day you left, when I told you I loved you! I meant it. I've always loved you! Nothing has changed since then!" He was yelling now, but I didn't care. all I was focused on was how my best friend since kindergarten just told me he was in love with me.

"Where the hell is Kristen?!" I began to pace. I could tell a panic attack was about to happen and so could Shawn.

"Oh no. Calm down. Steph look at me and breath..." he stood up and took me in his arms.

"Breath.." he repeated.

"I can't do this right now... I need to fine kris and I-I uh I nee-"

"Just stay here and focus on your breathing." Shawn spoke so softly I already felt myself calming down.

Like Shawn told me I focused on my breathing. I could feel my pulse slowing down and my breath becoming even.

"Look at me." I looked into Shawn's eyes and I felt my cheeks starting to get warm.

"Go get Lauren..." I whispered. "I'll find Kris." Shawn nodded his head and left. I grabbed my phone and called Kris. Tears were now rolling down my face, I was confused and happy and upset.

"Hello?" Kris spoke through the phone.

"Kris, Shawn just told me he loved loved me and Lauren told me I won and then she ran out then I had a panic attack and Shawn calmed me down and then he went to go find Lauren and now I'm calling you and I think I'm in love with Shawn..." I sputtered.

"Wait what?!"

"Where are you, Kris?!"

"I'm with Dylan and are you crying!?"

"Yes! Please hurry back to the house and tell Dylan I said hi." I wiped away the makeup from under my eyes.

"Ok, I'll be home in a few."

I hung up the phone and cried. And cried and cried. This was too much. Everything was happening so fast and I couldn't keep up.
