Cliche zombie apocalypse story

Chapter 1

Skyler's P.O.V

It all started that day, that one terrible day nobody saw coming, that god awful day that changed our lives forever, friday june 12th, 2009.

I started that cursed day with a sort of ordinary morning routine, but let's go back a few days to wednesday june 10th. I was late for school like I usually am, so I only got there for the second half of the day to see my friends and hang out.

    I saw Taylor at the bench near the tree where we normally meet up. She waved me over but i was already on my way.

"Hey Sky, late again are we," she giggled. "Haha yep, I stayed up all night again sketching," I admitted. She gave me a worried expression, "you've got to get more sleep or it'll start affecting your health." She was scolding me now, great.

After getting lectured for what felt like forever, all my attention was on someone else, "damn" I accidentally said out loud. Taylor instantly understood " Eva again?" she asked. "Must you even inquire." I replied to her stupid question. "No I guess not," she sighed.

Eva is a girl I've had a crush on since middle school, but now we're in the 11th grade and she's still as straight as glenn quagmire while i'm here like a unicorn in a rainbow latex suit galloping into the sunset.

Later me and Taylor decided to skip the last few classes of the day and head over to our friend Jordan's place, though when we arrived his girlfriend Rose was already occupying his time so we set sail for Dylan's apartment.

On the way to the building Taylor had to stop at the convenience store so I went on without her. When I got there she was just playing video games like it was her purpose for living, "your gonna get scolded" I teased. I got completely ignored, but I saw this coming sadly. I then decided to go to the kitchen and eat some of her food (she always had the better food).

With the snack that I gathered i made my way back to the living room and plopped myself down in the beanbag chair.

"I wonder when Taylor is going to get here," I said to the non respondent being beside me attempting to make conversation. We continued to sit in awkward silence, it bothered me.

Just at that moment the door opened. "TAYLOR!" I screamed as she walked in, she waked me over the head for scaring her, but at least she saved me from the awkward silence with Dylan.

Around one or two hours later we left Dylan's apartment and went home. After that there wasn't much left to do, We went to my place and wasted time for a while until Taylor had to go home. When she left I just played pokemon on my gameboy until I got tired and went to sleep.
