Chapter 10

The Chunin exams were now done and You were in your bed watching the chunin exams that the Hokage has recorded for you. . Your left arm and eye were bandaged and still really hurt. You were on Naruto's fight with Kiba. You smiled.

"Are you sure that they will let us see Akio Kakashi sensei said that they wont let any visitors." Said Sakura. She was holding a bouquet of flowers. "Of course they will I got [dads name] sensei to get us permission to go to his room." They walked down the hallway. When they got to your room Naruto was about to open it when Sakura hits him over the head. "You idiot don't you have any manors?" Sakura then knocked on the door. You were just about to watch Gaara's battle when you heard the knock on the door. "Who is it?" "Naruto and Sakura." "Just a minute." It was silent for a moment. "Alright you can come in now." when they opened the door your were in your boy form. You had a smile on your face. "Hey so what are you guys doing here?" "We came to see how you're doing." said Sakura. She put the flowers into a vase, and set it on the night stand next to your bed. "Akio you missed it. I was so awesome." "Oh don't worry I didn't miss it." "What?" You then turn on the TV. "They were able to record it, for me." You then press play. When Gaara came onto the screen Naruto's eyes widened, and his body became stiff. "Naruto?" At first you were amazed at the battle. But as the fight went on the amazement on your face became fear. When Gaara broke Lee's Left arm and leg you paused and turned off the TV. "Gaara did that? You asked in a scared voice. "Um.. Maybe we should leave Naruto." Sakura then started pushing Naruto out of the door. "Oh Sakura can you please stay back for a minute?" "Uh yeah sure. Naruto you head on without me. I'll catch up." "Alright Sakura." Sakura then shuts the door, and pulled up a chair next to your bed. You then change back to your girl form. "Sakura can you get that envelope over there on my clothes?" Yeah sure." She then got up and walked over to the chair with your clothes. She then picked up the envelope and a picture fell out. With Sakura's back turned towards you she picked up the picture and looked at it. Her eyes widened. It was the picture of when the two of you where kids. "Sakura is something wrong?" "Oh no nothing is wrong." "Sakura." She then turned around and looked at you. "You looked at the picture didn't you?" "Pic-picture, what picture?" "Sakura you know you're not a good liar." She looked down at her feet out of embracement. She then walked back to the side of your bed and gave you the picture. "[Y/n] who is that boy?" your eyes soften. "This boy ... is Gaara." "What? That can't be Gaara." Your looked at Sakura with a scary face. "Gaara wasn't always like he is now." You looked back at the picture. "He once was a shy, kind and fun boy. We were best friends." "I- i see." "You see Gaara thinks I'm still dead. "Why?" The door then opens. We look up to see who it was. "Oh hey dad." "Hey girls. Sakura I'm sorry but I'm going to have to ask you to leave." "Oh okay." She then stood up and walked out of the room. Once she was gone your dad closed the door. "Did you watch the chunin exams." "Yes." A Tear falls on the picture. " I shouldn't have ever faked my death." You wiped your eyes. "If I knew that Gaara would be like this I wouldn't have done it." You looked up at your dad. "Dad I can't do this anymore. I just can't stand to see Gaara like this anymore." Your dad sits on your bed and brings you into a heart worming hug. "I know [Y/n]. I know." You cried into his chest.
[time skip]
It was night time now and you were fast asleep. The door to the lobby of the hospital to show a shadow. In a instant the shadow disappeared. There was foot steps in the hall ways. You turned on your right side. The foot steps are getting closer to your room. You turn back on to your back and you open your eyes. You look to the door to see a shadow. You sat up in your bed. The person was reaching for the door handle. Your heart was pounding. "Gaara what are you doing here?" "Huh. Gaara." You whispered. You shouldn't be here you should head back to your brother and sister. You get out of your bed and slowly walk to the door. "Gaara is something wrong?" "It's Akio he.... He reminds me of [Y/n]." "Is there something wrong with that." "Yes." you set your hand on the door. "I don't want to remember [Y/n]." You stopped where you were with wide eyes. "Gaara why don't you want to remember [ Y/n]?" "It brings back memories, memories that I don't want to remember. Plus she broke her promise. She promised that she would never leave me, and she did." It was silent for a second. Your dad placed a hand on his shoulder. "Listen Gaara even if she didn't get captured by the Akatsuki and even if you two grew old together one of you would die one day. But I know [Y/n] would stick by your side till the end." Gaara looked at his feet. "Gaara I can see that your trying to avoid remembering [Y/n], you think it's making you more strong but it's just bringing you more pain. Plus I can see you miss her." "Yes.... Yes I do." He then handed him the picture. "Here take this." He takes the picture. "Thank you." "You should get going now. It's really late." You then quickly open the door. "GAARA." You were to late he was gone. "[Y/n] what are you doing up?" "Dad I'm done." "What?" "I'm done hiding. At the final exam I'm." "I'm going to reveal myself!"
