Chapter 16

The ganged and have spent most of the day traveling on the dragon. When the sun began to set you all decided to settle for the night to get your strength back up.
[time skip]
It was the middle of the night and you were still up you were still up. You watched as the flames flickered as it burned the wood, pooled your legs to your chest and set your head on your knees. "Gaara." you said in a whisper. "This is all my fault. It's all my fault that Gaara was captured." You then start to remember when you were captured."
[flashback]
"Let me go you bone headed freak." You squirmed underneath his arm. "Man you might be a cute little girl but you are sure annoying un." "Oh yeah? Says the guy that looks like a girl." "I'm not a girl." he grunted through his teeth. "Heh, yeah right." you mumbled. It was still dark when you reached your destination. He jump off of his giant clay bird and did a hand sign and a giant rock moved up revealing a entrance. He walks in and when the giant rock covered the entrance he tossed you to the ground. You let out a small yelp as you made contact with the cold, hard ground. You sat yourself up and looked back at the blond haired man and waved your arms around. "Hey what was that for? You have some nerve to do that to a helpless little girl." You were going to continue when you felt a presents behind you. You slowly and nervously turned around to see a shadowed figure and you could only see his brown eyes. You scooted a few feet away. You shook in fear. "W-who are, and you where am I?" "So this is the white dragon huh?" You then looked in the direction of the voice to see a man with blue skin that looked like a shark, but what scared you the most about him was his sharp teeth. "I didn't know that it would still be a kid you then turn to see a few more people a man that had half of his face covered, then another man with whitish grayish hair. "Huh what a week little thing." He walked up to you and picked you up by the back of his collar. You closed your eyes and were shaking even more now. "NO KEEP AWAY FROM ME!" You then garbed the sleeve of the cloak and some how flipped him onto his back. You opened your eyes to see Hidan in the ground. "Oops. D-did I do that?" you asked. "It seems she isn't quite capable of her power yet." You turned to see a man with raven blue hair and you noticed that he kind of looked like Sasuke. You then realized who it was. "Itachi." You then heard a grunting noise, you looked back at the man you flipped. "Why, why you brat. I'll kill you." he then reached out a hand to grab you but you dodged. "AHH. Itachi-sama help me." you then ran to Itachi and hid behind him. "It seems that the child is fond of you Itachi." You peaked out from behind Itachi to see a man who looked kind of like Gaara so you felt a little less scared of him. "Itachi. Do you know this child?" He looked down at you. "Yes she is a friend of my little brother, but she was also a close friend of the nine tailed beast." "I see." You looked by the shark guy and you then noticed a guy who looked like a plant. Itachi was still looking down at you, he knelt down on one knee and tugged at your shirt collar. "Hey what are you doing?" You try to push him away but he had a grip on his arm. Itachi pulled down the collar of your shirt to see the mark you had from Orochimaru. "It seems that Orochimaru has already got to her." Your eyes widened. "You know Orochimaru?" You asked hesitantly. You looked around the room. "He isn't here, is he?" "Why do you ask?" asked Sasori. You look down at your feet. "I hate him. He tried to kill me and killed my mommy. Plus whenever he is close to me the mark makes my body hurt. "Interesting." Said the shadow figure. You then remembered that you were just kidnapped by these crazy people. "Why did you take me? What are you going do to me?"
[time skip]
The Akatsuki had you join the Akatsuki saying that they wouldn't harm Naruto, Gaara or anyone you held dear to you, but you had to face your death. You watched as your dad walked to the fake dead body that you had created. He fell to his knees next to the fake body. "[Y/n]." Tears came from his eyes he picked up the body and held it close to him. "NOOOOO. [Y/n]." He yelled. Tears then came from your eyes. You then felt a hand on your back. You look to see it was Itachi. "Come [Y/n] it's time to head back." He then picked you up and you cried into his chest and the two of you head to the Akatsuki hideout. "Daddy, Gaara, Naruto I'm sorry that I have betrayed you please forgive me." you whispered in Itachi's cloak. Later in the day you were sitting outside watching the sunset. You hugged you legs then you remembered a song from a story that your mom use to tell you every night.

You then bury your face into your knees and began to cry. Later on that night it began to rain, thunder and lightning. You were creeping down the hall and came to the room that was Itachi's.
[inside]
Itachi saw sitting on his bed. He just woke up from a nightmare. It was of when he killed his entire clan. "Sigh." He set his head on his hands, and looked at the floor. When he heard his door open he was surprised to see you hiding behind the door. "[Y/n]." He said. You looked down at your feet. Itachi had his night stand lamp on and you see that he was half naked, he was warring his pants but he wasn't warring a shirt or anything. You tried to hide the small blush on your cheeks. But when you heard the thunder you ran to him and hid underneath the covers. *Sweat drop* The thunder and lightning went off again and you let out a small squeal. He then lifts the cover to see your scare face. "So your afraid of lightning and thunder." You looked away from him, a small blush red blush come over your cheeks. "C-can I stay here for the night?" "Why?" you pull the blanket over your head again. "I feel l-like you're the only one I can trust sense I already know you. Even though you're a criminal." you mumbled the last part. "Sigh. Fine you can stay." "Thank you." Itachi crawled underneath the covers. You quickly fell asleep and cuddled up to him, which kind of surprised him but he let it slide and put around you and brought you closer to him. "Good night "[Y/n]."
[A year later]
You were walking around the base when you walked past leader-sama's office. "What? Are you serious?" You stop and press your ear against the door. "Yes. I'm afraid we are going to have to brake the promise." "But if we brake the promise who knows what [Y/n] will do?" "We can't keep the promise anymore we need to get the one and nine tailed demon." Your eyes widened, you back away from the door and ran to your room. Once you got to your room you crawled onto your bed and hugged the pillow on your bed. "They're going to brake their promise to not hurt my friends and family?" The wind picked up in your room. "I won't let them hurt them, I wont let them hurt anyone." Your eyes started to turn red.
[end of flashback]
"What happened after that?" you whispered to yourself. "Hey are you okay?" You look up from the flames to see Naruto walking towards you. "Yeah I'm fine." He sat down next to you. "Don't worry [Y/n]. We'll get him back in time." "It's not that I'm worried about. You see there was something that happened to me the last time I saw the Akatsuki and I'm not sure of what will happen but if something does happen to me do not stop to help me just go after Gaara." You looked back at the flames. "Heh do you really think I'm going to do that?" You looked at Naruto's smiling face. "[Y/n] you're like a sister to me and I'm not going to leave my sister to take on those Akatsuki by yourself." You smiled at him. "Your such a sweet brother Naruto." You lean on his shoulder, which made him blush. 'Naruto's right maybe I'm just over reacting.' you thought in your head. You then finally fell into a peaceful sleep.
[time skip]
You were the first one to wake up, so you packed up camp. "What's wrong [Y/n]?" "Nothing Shiro. Just have a odd feeling." Once you got everything taken care of you woke everyone up. "Rise and shine everyone, we got ground to cover." Not much longer you all were wide awake and traveling again except you were now traveling by foot. "[Y/n] stop." You slid to a halt. "What is it Shiro?" "There's an enemy ahead." "Hey [Y/n] why did you stop?" asked Naruto. "We have company." Then someone came out from behind a tree. "It's nice to see you again Itachi Uchiha ." "It's nice to see you too [Y/n] [L/n]."
