Two or Three Days Later:
Stop after stop, break after break, bus after bus. We had slowly traveled on our way to New Orleans and we had finally reached our blessed destination. It feels good to be out of that retched uncomfortable bus, no I take that back, it feels great to be out of that damn bus.
I bend down and start stretching as soon as we're out. I stretch my arms then legs.
"So where to?" I inquire.
"Umm, I guess we're supposed to walk to Subway and Matt will pick us up there" Audrey states. I nod my head and go back to stretching while Ethan just looks off into the distance. "We should probably start walking." Ethan and I look at each other and nod in approval. I pick my backpack up off the ground and they do the same and we three start walking.
Several cars and trucks honk at us while we cross the street as fast as we can. A few also yelled and a couple others gave us the finger, but all it did was make us laugh.
So this was New Orleans, it's so much more lively than where we were before. I inhale the air deep and exhale slowly. Well, won't be doing that again. I'm not quite fond of the scent of cigarettes and fast food restaurants.
We spot Subway and head straight over. I swear, by the time I step a foot in, Ethan is already in line looking at the menu with heart shaped eyes. I'm pretty sure he was also drooling.
I shake my head in disbelief and turn to Audrey as if to say, "Can you believe this guy?" Audrey just shrugs and stands in line with him. I join them and scan over all the words. Suddenly it feels like everything is in slow motion and super fine detail. I can see the muscles in Audrey's has move as she orders, the way Ethan's hair slightly moves as he turns away from the cash register, and finally, him.
My eyes turn to the sound of the bell as he walks in and everything slows down as my eyes lock in with his dark brown ones. I notice his eyes first, then the way he shoves his hands in his pockets after walking inside. I notice the way his dark brown hair stops right above his eyes. The slight up turn in his lips, his jaw line, the way his muscles move underneath his black shirt. The sound his black leather jacket makes when he moved.
The bell sounds again and it's like I'm being snapped back into reality. A second boy walks in and it's like they're polar opposites. The second boy has short styled blonde hair, it's styled like the greaser's hair in the movies, just with a lot less grease. His icy blue eyes twinkle compared to the first boy's dull brown ones. Instead of a black leather jacket he was a white one with just a little black, they have the same style of shirt except his is white. The only things that's similar between the two is the pants, their shoes, and the fact that they were both equally gorgeous.
Audrey comes barreling down to them practically squealing. She throws her arms around both of their necks and blondey looks like he's completely for it while the other boy is just awkwardly patting her back, with that look that says he's suffocating.
"So you finally did it small fry" the blønde says after Audrey let's then go. Audrey's bright smile gets wider as she nods her head crazily. I turn around to see Ethan with his sandwich, practically frowning, while he sees this reunion.
I almost forget that the lady still has our sandwiches so I practically run over there, pay, and then finish with an awkward thank you. I run over to Ethan and take the seat next to him at the small table and watch the scene across the room with him. I can't hear what they're saying but it's fun to watch their facial expressions. Audrey looks like she could just burst open with happiness, blondey looks like he's relieved that she got here safely, and then finally tall dark and handsome looks as if he would rather have met in an alley way or something. I laugh at this and quickly stop when they make their way over here.
Audrey sits down with us and the other two follow suit. I slide her sandwich over towards her while trying not to be awkward about. I don't know why I feel awkward giving her, her sandwich in front of the three boys. I feel like a drug dealer passing over her sandwich.
"So what do we have here?" The blonde asks. It's like you can see Audrey remembering I haven't met them before.
"Oh so this is Imogen, and Imogen this is Jasper and this is Cameron", she waits a second before speaking again, "This is where you all shake hands." I quickly oblige and shake Jasper's (blondey) hand and then try with Cameron but he just shakes his head.
"I thought you said it would just be you and this jack ass, you never mentioned another" Cameron says. I look down to avoid looking at anyone.
"Well I forgot to mention it, so here you go, Imogen is going to be with us. She does have a name so use it." Audrey states looking at Cameron dead in the eyes. He rolls his eyes and scoffs.
"Well we didn't prepare a room for you, so I guess that means you'll be staying in my room for the time being" Jasper says while slightly smirking. I nod, feeling like I want to disappear from how awkward this conversation is. Audrey gives him that mom look as to say "Don't get any ideas." He holds his hands up in surrender
"Don't worry Audrey, I'm sure her and I will become great friends. And before you say anything else, I'm not going to make her do anything she doesn't want to," he says grinning "but I don't know why she wouldn't want to."
"She can stay with me. She'll stay in my room for the time being" Ethan says. My head snaps towards him in confusion. Doesn't he hate me?
"Whatever, we'll figure it out when we get there. Problem solved." Jasper says as if it's no big deal.
"I'd much prefer it if she stayed with me" Ethan growls.
"Guys, calm down. Jasper stop egging him on, Ethan what's gotten into you?" Audrey says sternly. What the hell is going on?
"Nothing, let's just go" Ethan says agitated while grabbing his sandwich. I look at Audrey and she just shrugs her shoulders. We all pick up our stuff and leave.
"Hey, umm guys?" I say. They all turn to look at me questioningly. "Umm where are we going and how are we going to get there?"
"Oh we'r-" Audrey starts but Cameron cuts her off.
"We're taking my car and then we're going to Jasper's house."
"Oh" all he does is nod and slightly smile. He's cute when he smiles.
We all start walking and I stop when I see it.
"THIS IS YOUR CAR?!" I squeal and say loudly.
"Jesus, yes, calm down" Cameron says covering his ears.
"How?!" This is the nicest car I've ever seen and it's always been my dream car. I lightly trailed my fingers across the black chrome.
"Cameron and Jasper come from wealthy families"
