"The unexpected moments are always sweeter."
• Logan's P.O.V. •
After I fell asleep last night, I didn't wake up until about 2:00pm. The slight nudge I received was just enough to pull me out of my state."Logan?" The voice softly spoke. I opened my eyes to see who it was. Once my vision focused it was Two-Bit.
"Hey, I'm sorry to wake you. Darry wanted me to make sure that you were awake and responsive." He said sympathetically.
"It's okay, I get it." I felt as if I was feeling better, that is until I tried to get up. It felt like lactic acid was flooding my body, I groaned in pain.
"Where's Soda?" I asked.
"He had to go to work but he'll be home in about an hour or so." I just nodded my head.
"Do you want me to get you anything or are you alright?"
"I'm alright, thanks." I smiled and he turned around and headed out, closing the door behind him.
I turned my head so that I could look out the window. The sky was cloudless, absorbing the color of the ocean and reflecting it back for everyone to see. It was wondrous.
My thoughts bounced to Dallas. I wondered if he ever takes a minute and observes the world around him, just to take in everything. Maybe he wouldn't be so harsh towards it all. Well he's not harsh towards me, he's actually really protective. I really like Dallas, and I want us to go somewhere but what if he doesn't feel the same. I've seen the way he looked at Cherry. Just thinking about that night made me feel so down.
My thoughts silenced when I heard a light knock on the door, which then creaked open.
"Hey, I heard someone was calling for me?" I turned my head.
"Hey Soda." I smiled. He sat on the edge of the bed.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah." I tried to convince him. I knew he didn't believe me. I asked something before he was able to comment on what I said.
"Do you mind if I take a shower?"
"Not at all, let me grab you a towel." He smiled and headed out the room. He came back with a towel in hand and opened one of the doors in Darry's room. I heard him turn on the water and then he came out.
"You ready."
"As ready as i'll ever be." He laughed and came over to me.
I scooted myself to the edge of the bed and threw my legs over so they touched the floor. Soda was looking at me cautiously, having his arms out so that I could hold onto him for support. I grabbed them and stood up, he walked me over to the bathroom and let me hold onto the sinks ledge.
