They were rapidly banging on the door with their clenched fists. I hid under the computer desk with the back of the chair against the edge of the desk after I got under, my legs tucked in and my forehead against my knees in the corner of the room. My eyes were shut tight and then I hear my mom: "I can't find the key!" Then an unfamiliar voice came into play by the door: "Surrender now, or we will be forced to break down the door!" A few seconds were spared with silence. I felt my body move the chair out and then myself out from under the computer desk. I moved against the wall by the door. I saw them blast the door open with their foot and barge in with tranquilizer guns with laser scopes in their hands looking around for me. Before I knew it, I was looking at their backs on the other side of the door. I had a faint, invisible smile on my face.

I turned around and sprinted to the front door. I unlocked the first and top lock and by the time I touched the second lock, I felt a slight puncture in my right shoulder. I pulled out the needle in a flash and held it out in the palms of my hands. It was a tranquilizer dart. They got me. It's over.  Once you get it inserted into your body, you immediately feel side effects. Even if you do take it out after a millisecond. I felt drowsiness. My vision began to blur and my body started to collapse, one leg and then the other, till I hit the ground. I didn't feel anything after that, nor did I see anything.

The last words I heard were, "Alright, we have to get her back to headquarters. Pleasure doing business with you, Kimberlee." Then my mom said "And with you! Thank You!" Her suspicious giggle afterwards gave me the sign that indicates that she doesn't love me enough to care or even acknowledge me. I guess the fact that I have super powers and acted like myself and I was different, wasn't good enough for her. 'She wouldn't love me,' I thought. 'She'll never love me.'
