Your mother woke you up at 7 am to get you ready for your first day at kindergarten. You were extremely energetic and were very happy that you would be attending the same school your best friend, Elinor, will be going to as well. Your mother changed you and brought you downstairs to the kitchen to feed you breakfast before heading off. You ate your cereal quickly and grabbed your book bag. Your mother smiled at you before grabbing your small hand and taking you to her car to drive you to school. When you arrived, your mother brought you inside the classroom before kissing your cheek and waving goodbye. You saw Elinor and ran to her. She had already made a few friends and was talking to them. There was a tall boy with blonde hair, who was wearing jeans with a red tank top, there was this other boy with brown hair and blue eyes, who was wearing a white button up shirt with khaki shorts on. Next to them was a girl with brown hair with light brown eyes, she had a white dress on with some white sandals. There was this other girl, she was different from the other girls that you have seen so far in this class. She had the most beautiful light brown eyes and had light brown hair. She was wearing a white skirt with a pink shirt and black leggings on. She had this smile on her face that was everything to you. She locked eyes with you and continued to smile.

"H-hey, I'm Y|N." you introduce yourself to the group and waved to everyone of them.
The boy with the blonde hair speaks up first.

"Hey, I'm Travis, over here is Noah." He gestured towards the brunette boy. "And this is Sarah." The girl with the dress on smiled after waving to me. "And this beautiful girl is my girlfriend." He joked, which caused the gorgeous girl to glare at him.

"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you 'my girlfriend'" You played along while offering your hand for her to shake.

"It's actually Kaia, and yea, it's a pleasure meeting you too." So the beautiful girl did have a name after all, and that was Kaia. Such a beautiful name for a gorgeous girl like herself.

You turned to Elinor and gave her a knowing smile, which she returned the favor.

"It's been so long." Elinor said before getting up and hugging you tightly.

"Yea, I've missed you, Ellie."

"I've missed you too, Y/N/N." You felt a single pair of eyes on me. It wasn't Travis or Noah, since they both went to introduce themselves to the other kids, and it was definitely not Sarah since she went to the bathroom. You two pulled away and you turned to see that Kaia was watching the interactions between the both of you. Kaia looked away before blushing, knowing that she was caught. After that, you resumed to playing and learning. Before school had ended, Kaia invited you and your other new friends to her tree house for a play date. You all agreed on going. Ever since that day, her tree house has been your hang out.

--years later--

You walked into the high school and looked for your best friends. You saw Travis with a girl, probably flirting with her. You walked up to them and took Travis away. He was complaining but you ignored him. You then saw Noah with his girlfriend, Veronica, talking. You walked up to them as well. Veronica saw you both approach them and she greeted you two with a giant smile while Noah groaned. You rolled you eyes and asked them where Sarah, Ellie, and Kaia were. Noah informed you that they went to the bathroom. Luckily for you, your first period was a free period so you weren't late to a class. You left Travis with Noah before heading off to find the three girls. You barged into the bathroom and saw them applying makeup. You smiled and walked up behind Elinor and wrapped your arms around her waist and placed your chin on her shoulder.

"Aww, you guys are so cute! You should date!" Cooed Sarah as she watched your interaction with the other girl through the bathroom mirror. You rolled your eyes before shaking your head.

"She's not even into girls."

"I still ship it." Sarah joked, causing Ellie and Yourself to laugh. You looked past Sarah and saw Kaia looking down at the sink. She seemed upset.

"Sarah and I need to go. We have first period with Mr. Smithers." She said before putting her things in her bag and groaning. Sarah and Elinor left, leaving Kaia and You alone in the bathroom.

Your feelings for the younger brunette grew throughout the years of hanging out with her and getting to know her more.

"Hey, are you ok?" You asked her, hesitation evident in your voice since you didn't want to upset her even more.

"Yea..." she said as a single tear dropped. She wiped away any other tears that happened to fall and quickly left the bathroom. You sighed before walking back to where Noah and Travis were at. You saw that Kaia had met up with them as well. She was smiling and genuinely looked happy, like she wasn't crying in the bathroom a few seconds ago. You approached them, smiling.

---after school---

School ended and you were waiting outside for your best friends. Elinor came out and instantly ran to you. You picked her up as she wrapped her arms around your neck. You looked at the others walking up to you, yet again, Kaia looked upset but was trying to hide it so the others wouldn't know. You placed Elinor down and walked up to Kaia.

"Hey, can we meet up later today at you tree house? I need to talk to you." She nodded and walked past me. She got into her older brother's car and they drove off. You sighed before getting in your own car and driving to your house.

--2 hours later--

You knocked on the door of Kaia's house for Cindy Crawford to open it with a smile.

"Hey, honey. It's been so long. Come in, come in. Are you here for Kaia?"

"Yea, I am. Is she here?"

"Oh, yes, she's upstairs. Go on, I'm sure you know where her bedroom is." You nodded and headed up the stairs. You walked in her room to see her putting on her shirt. You choked on air and caught her attention.

"What the hell? What are you doing here?" She put her shirt on quickly.

"I uh, I wanted to talk to you. Remember?" She nodded and yanked you into her room further. "Um, I'm sorry. I should've knocked but-"

"It's fine. It's not like we never changed in front of each other before." She smirked and grabbed your hand and took you outside. "Come on, go. Climb."

"No, I know you just want to look at my ass ." You teased her, making her blush.

"What ass, loser." You faked being hurt and brought your hand to your chest.

"Fuck you, Kaia."

"Oh, you wish." You both laughed before you climbed up to her tree house. You sat on one of the cushions you and your friends had put up there when you were little kids. "So, what do you want to talk about?" She asked as she sat down across from you.

"Why were you crying?" She sighed before replying.

"I get it if you don't want to talk to me after this but my feelings have grown for you more than they should have." Your heart beats began to quicken.

"Wait, are you saying that you-"

" yes, I like you, Y/N. a lot. If you want, you can leav-" you got up and placed your lips on hers, shutting her up. She began to kiss back and brought you closer to her.

"I like you too, a lot." She smiled and kissed me again.  "This tree house is truly magical. Remember when we found a 10 dollar bill when we were kids up here? And when Travis studied for his final up here and actually passed." After that, you both reminisced over the great memories you made in that Tree House.
