Hot. That's what it was this July day: hot. The sun was brighter than
usual and the colors of the earth seemed more vibrant.
Joggers that I passed, like myself, paid no attention to me. They were
all too busy trying to push and form themselves to a better body.
I liked the feeling of running; feeling free. I liked the pain that
shot up your legs and stabbed your side. It gave off the impression
that I was doing something good for my body. But although the feeling
of running itself was enjoyable, I hated the feeling of sweat building
on my forehead; the stickiness of it all.
I could feel my heart beating to the rhythm of my feet on the
pavement. It made me smile.
Although not one of the joggers stole even a glance at me, I studied
them. There were some rather portly men and women running down the
sidewalk, trying to become fit. Then, of course, they had the ones who
were already fit but ran anyway. Maybe they didn't think of themselves
as in shape or maybe they just liked the feeling of running, like me.
There were the buff males who were trying to add more muscles than was
necessary, while there are also the kinky males that were trying to
gain the muscles that are necessary. And of course, there were the
slackers. The ones who only used it as an excuse to leave. Everyone
that passed had a reason for running, whether they would admit to it
or not.
I adjusted my earbuds that were connected to my iPhone that I kept in
my bra. The beat of the music somehow eased the pain so it wasn't
unbearable.
Ahead of me, I spotted a man. He was definitely a young man, 20 or so.
His eyes were a golden brown and his hair was a sweaty mess. His blue
Under Armour shirt was like an extra coat of skin on him. I was afraid
it might bust. He wore baggy black shorts that showed off his hairy
legs.
The man hesitated and slowed his pace. A confused look spread
throughout his face as he searched around the area with excited eyes.
And once his eyes settled on me, his confused expression was replaced
with a wide smile.
I pretended as though I hadn't been watching him and continued
jogging, just until I was beside him. His lips moved, but I couldn't
make out what he was saying. The music pounded heavily in my ears with
a steady beat that kept me motivated. I took the buds out my ears and
heard him talk for the first time.
"Hey." He simply said, messing with the huge watch on his wrist. His
voice was deep but playful. Charming If I do say so myself.
"Hello. Anything I could do for you?" I asked, a bit confused.
"No, it's just your music was so loud in your ears. I didn't want you
to bust an ear drum or something." He laughed. He was a rambler and
had a fast accent, but for some strange reason, I enjoyed hearing him
speak.
"Great song, by the way. Listen to it all the time. I love it." He
smiled. He had nice straight teeth and perfect features.
"It was that loud?" I asked aloud, making him chuckle. He had an
amazing chuckle.
"It was blaring. Volume to its max, I suppose."
"Most likely, but here's the thing. I'd love to stay and chat for
awhile, I mean, you seem fairly interesting, but I have to go." I
really did want to have a conversation with him, but what I wanted
more was a nice hot bath.
"Hey, I understand. I'll let you go. But maybe we can go jogging
together or something sometime soon, yeah?" He smirked.
"That sounds lovely. Well, have a good walk." I smiled sweetly, waving to him.
"You too. Oh, and try not to bust your ear drums, alright?" He joked.
"I'll try." He laughed and turned back on his was to continue walking.
I put my earbuds back in my ear and played the music to the highest it
would go. After leaving it for a few seconds, I turned it off to hear
him shouting.
"I heard that!" I laughed loudly, waving over to him again. And I
realized that I'd just had a proper conversation with this man, and I
didn't even know his name.

Sorry I haven't added an imagine lately, but here's a pretty short one I made today. Go ahead and comment what kind of jogger are you that I described, even if you don't jog. Everyone knows I don't run, I don't jog, and I don't do any form of exercise so I'm most likely to be the slacker! Ha! Well I'll try my best to have more imagines but It's kind of tough coming up with ideas. How about a Marcel one next or something? Let me know what you think and just know I love you all! X
