[CHAPTER 2]
After class was over everyone started to file out of the classroom. I looked out in the hall looking for Cameron hoping he didn't ditch me. I looked to my left and saw his back to be about ten feet away. He was talking to two girls. A tall blonde, and a shorter brunette. I watched as Cameron handed the blonde a piece of paper with something written on it. I couldn't here what they were saying over the noise of the hallway but the girls had a big smile on their face as they walked away.
He turned around and almost ran into me. "Oh! Hey. Ready for your next class?" He said cooly.
"Yeah." I responded. We started heading for the doors. I really wanted to ask about those girls but thought i shouldn't. I don't even know him. "Hey... What was that with those girls back there?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me.
He stopped in his tracks and I ran into him. I'm mumbled sorry to him. "You don't know?" He asked, sounding shocked.
"If I knew I wouldn't have asked." I sarcastically replied. "History is on the top floor right?" I said trying I play it off.
"Oh, um yeah. Do you mind if we not talk about that for a while?" He asked. We started heading up stairs. I considered it. I was really curious but I don't even know him. *Why did you have to ask that? Your so stupid!* I scolded my self.
"Yeah, sorry. We don't even know each other. I was out of line." I said mentally scolding myself again.
"No! I just don't want you to change if you know... Your different. I like that." He gave me a small smile we reached my class.
"Oh um. Okay. I better get to class." I said not sure what to think of what I just heard.
"Yeah. I'll be back for you again." He said with a big smile as I started to turn to the door. It looked back at him and gave a big smile back.
When I got into the class room the teacher introduced me and didn't make me say facts about myself. *Thank God!* I thought as I walked to the back of the room. I had no intention of paying attention in class. All I wanted to do was think about Cameron, and wanting to know more about him. I sat Dow in the last row. Next to me was a guy dresses in all black with his hood up so I couldn't see much of his face. In front of me was a tall blonde girl. *Is that the same girl Cameron was talking to earlier?* I thought to myself. I was considering asking her what was on the note.
"Hey,"I leaned into her ear so I could whisper. "How do you know Cameron Dallas?" I asked.
She turned around. "You don't know who he is?" She sounded shocked.
"No.." I mumbled. She handed me a piece of paper. I opened it and realized it was the paper Cameron handed her a while ago. On it it read, 'To my biggest fan, love Cameron Dallas.' *Biggest fan?* I thought. "I don't get it..." I whispered to her.
"Try looking him up." She said as she took the paper back. *What does that mean?* I thought.
Throughout the rest of the class period I continued to zone out and think about Cameron. I treys making up stories as to why he would write that to that girl (I found out her name is Callie). *Ill wait to look it up when I get home. Just so I don't blurt it out what I find out to him.* I thought as I made a plan.
I walked out side the class room to find Cameron waiting for me. I gave him a shy smile as I walked to him. "So. Math."I said trying not to hit that I knew something, even though I don't.
"Yeah, so how was history?" He asked. Leading me to my math class.
"Oh you know, sucky." I said. Not telling him about the note.
"Isn't it always." He laughed. I lightly laughed too.
We stopped I from of another door. "Thanks." I said.
"Is something wrong?" He asked sounding concerned.
"Yeah, why?" I asked hoping he didn't know.
"I don't know. You just seemed different than before."
"I'm just tired. It's been a long day."
"Oh okay. Well I'll be here after class."
"Okay thank you." I said with a smile. He gave a smile back and walked away. I watched him walk away. Then walked into the classroom.
I sat through class looking out the window. Watching the wind shake the trees. I can't wait to go home and walk around the block again.
After class Cameron and I don't talk much as he leads me to my science class.
"Do you need me to show you to your locker after class?" He asked.
"No, I got it thanks." I didn't want to spend time with him before I knew what the note was about. I am to afraid that I will just blurt it out that I know about the note. I walked into my class with out looking back. I sat all through science taking notes and not really listening to the teacher.
After school was over I went to my locker trying to avoid running into Cameron. I turned around to check to see if he was behind me. When I turned around I ran into someone. I looked up to see their face. Cameron. *Seriously!* I thought. "Oh, sorry." I said.
He looked down at me. "Sorry. I just wanted to make sure you have a way home."
"Yeah. I drove. Thanks."
"Okay... Actually. That wasn't the only reason. Um. I was going to go to the fair this weekend... Do you want to join me?" He asked a little shyly.
"Oh! Me? Really?" I asked completely shocked. I was mentally doing cartwheels because I was so happy.
"Yeah. I like I said earlier. Your different. I like that."
"But I'm nobody..."
"And it's amazing."
I blushed. "Sure." I smiled.
"Great!" He said and starts walking away.
I gather my things from my locker and head out to the parking lot. On my drive home I think about the weekend. Thinking of what might happen. *Maybe he would kiss me.* I thought. I haven't had my first kiss and I'm 16. My friends in Iowa would kiddingly make fun of me for it. The traffic is slow so I have plenty of time to think about him.
After I finally get home I walk into my room. I throw my backpack on my bed and sit I front of my desk with my laptop on it. I opened it and pulled up a new tab. I typed in the website for google. I started to type in Cameron Dallas and then pressed enter.
