Blood moon reminder

"Where are you going?" Mrs Diaz asked.
To find Star, Marco thought. But instead of telling his mom he just kept packing his backpack.
"She might come back it's only been one day"
Marco said nothing.
He just counted what he had packed: an extra sweatshirt, 30$, and two walkie-talkies. He needed one last thing.
Marcos mother walked out of the room silent. He felt bad.
Focus he told himself.
He dug through his bedroom looking for the one thing that could get him where he wanted to go. He finally found it, after what seemed like forever. His dimensional scissors!

He double checked everything he needed. Then silently walk down the stairs. His mother was whispering to Mr. Diaz.
"I don't know what's wrong" she sobbed
"It will be ok" her husband told her.
The words hit Marco hard. This might be that last time he could see his parents. He was finding Star, and when she left she told him that she might never come back.
He bit his lip woundedin if it was worth it.
Yes.
Star was his best friend. They had been through to much together to break their friendship over... well what ever that was before she left. Marco walked downstairs.
"Mom I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you I just feel lost."
"Oh Marco." She paused " Go to her."
"What" Marco gasped " this is so dangerous though."
"Not if Star is with you, besides I always knew you guys would be a cute couple!"
Marco blushed not wanting to deny  it or  confirm it. But maybe the 2nd one worked.
No. He thought. Focus on Star right now.
And with that Marco gave his mother and father a hug.
"I love you guys."

And then one last thing to himself: "I'm coming Star"

Star sat in her window seal. Looking at the stars, they where nothing like earth stars. Her mom had moved her to the room where her and Marco had stayed during the music festival.
And she thought it could not hurt anymore. She had made a huge idiot out of herself.
But at least it was true.
Star got lost in sea of planets, stars and comets flowing in ground of her. When the moon turnd red, just like the blood moon ball. She selfies her eyes thinking of the only time 'starco' could exist. When she peeked threw her hands she saw a single red beam of light come from the moon and land on a newly opened dimensional portal.
Someone stepped out. Stars curiosity got the best of her when she leaned forward to get get a better look. Then it turned turned to pure dread followed my her heart fluttering as she watched Marco step out of the portal. He then looked around, checking for anyone who saw him, star thought. Marco looked up at the tower where Star was staying with a determined expression, and walked into the castle.
