- Baekhyun's POV -
I can't stop thinking about Seoyeon leaving. They said, "For her boyfriend." I know that is complete bullshit. I guess she couldn't handle it. Where is the Seoyeon I know, the one that would love playing games?
I smirked to myself, I really can affect her. As I turn my head I look at the sleeping woman lying next to me wrapped securely in the white sheets. Am I going too far? Taeyeon stirs in her sleep until her body is facing mine. Should I even be doing this?
I'm over thinking. It's just a harmless game. It means nothing, I have Taeyeon after all. I take a deep intake of breath and check the time, 4:54 am another sleepless night.
Through the door of the bedroom I could hear my fiancé's parents talking about Seoyeon.
"Honey, I told you she's coming in five minutes."
"But sweetie isn't this too soon? She said she would be there for a couple days," Taeyeon's father voiced in concern.
"I know but my baby is coming home and maybe for good so I'm happy." She says as they walk away.
"For good...?" I mumble to myself. What happened in L.A.?
I wake up Taeyeon, shaking her lightly.
She mumbled, "What is it?" And she slowly opens her eyes to check the time. "Baek...it's 5 in the morning..."
"Your sister is coming home any min-" She quickly sits up in bed and puts on her slippers. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by a burst of energy.
I shake my head finally getting up from bed. I lift my shirt over my head, laying it on the chair. What would Seoyeon's reaction be? Before, she could never resist me shirtless.
Let's test it out maybe things haven't changed.
I make my way downstairs and I can see everyone waiting in the front yard while a small cab pulls up. I stand in the entrance leaning against the door frame.
There she is, Seoyeon with a red nose and slightly puffed up eyes. She looks up at me and quickly turned her head away hugging her mom tightly. I notice her whispering something to her mom to which her mom quickly holds Seoyeon at arm's length.
"Seo, are you okay?" Taeyeon says squeezing her hand, interrupting her mom and sister's conversation.
She nods but doesn't respond.
"Here, I'll get your luggage sweetie." Her dad smiles, grabbing her two suitcases she packed up and another two that she didn't bring before. Is she moving out of her boyfriend's place?
I offer a hand to help but Seoyeon quickly shook her head and her sister helped instead.
"Want some breakfast?" Mrs. Kim softly asked Seoyeon.
"No thanks, Mom. I just want to sleep, it was a long flight." Her voice cracks then she looked at me with pain in her eyes. Did I cause the pain? Or did he?
She walked up the steps of the entrance and I move enough for her to squeeze her body through the door, knowing that her skin will touch mine.
But she managed to squeeze enough to avoid any contact with me and kept her head down as she walked up the stairs. Not the reaction I was going for.
Once, Seoyeon was gone I moved out of the doorway and her parents are able to pass through. They give me strange looks as they pass. I was about to go back inside the house until Taeyeon stopped me.
"Why are you shirtless?" She asked perplexed.
"I got hot," I shrugged.
"You weren't shirtless when we woke up." I didn't respond so she continued. "This is my parents' house be respectful, and don't do that it makes my sister uncomfortable." She finishes, grabbing the handle of the suitcase near her. She brushes past me with her lips pressed into a tight line.
I stare at her from the back. What the hell is up with her? I walk inside the house and lock the door then make my way to Taeyeon's room. I pick up my shirt and dress myself.
Taeyeon walks in moments later, "I see you managed to find your missing shirt."
"What's your problem? Have a grudge against shirtless men?" I say cocking my head to the side, smirking.
"I just don't like you walking around half naked when my sister is around." She pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Are you jealous?" I maintain a playful demeanor despite my question being serious.
"It's not that, it's just unnecessary." She walks over to the bed lying down once again. She is clearly bothered by my actions.
"Well, sorry I annoy you so much..." I quietly muttered as I run my fingers through my hair.
She heaves a sigh, "Let's get some sleep." Taeyeon pats the space next to her.
"No thanks, I can't sleep anymore," I remove my pajama pants, putting on my running shorts and running shoes.
"Where are you going?" She asked, laying her head on the pillow.
"A run, it's what I do when I'm stressed."
"Since when?" She raises a brow at me, "I didn't know you--"
"Maybe if you paid attention to me you would know more things about me." I countered.
She stares blankly at me then brings the blanket over her body. That's what I thought.
I go to the kitchen taking a cold water bottle with me and I hear footsteps and I roll my eyes thinking its Taeyeon yelling at me for not asking permission to get water.
I quickly move to the side quietly pretending to have left but I see her, Seoyeon.
She takes out some water getting ready to boil it about to make some tea. Stressed out, aren't we? Me too.
I see her sitting on the counter as I hide in the shadows and stare at her features. She's still lovely. She shakes her head to herself looking like she's at war with herself.
She finishes setting up her tea and takes small sips looking at her reflection from the glass of the microwave. She touches her puffy eyes and sighs.
"Can I have just one normal day?" She whispers to herself. "I look like a mess," She forces a smile to herself and sips more tea. Then she stands frozen and her eyes get watery.
"Why? Baekhyun..." She breathes out. My name. I'm on her mind.
It takes all my strength to not rush over there and kiss her so I can make those tears vanish. She sips more tea finishing it and wipes her eyes once again holding her sweater tightly against her as she makes her way upstairs.
I slowly followed her, watching those small curves through her clothes sway as she walks away. I can definitely see her nice thin legs with small defined muscles showing because of the shorts she is wearing. Her hair is covering part of her face.
She's just naturally beautiful.
I hear her close the door of her bedroom and I feel a slight annoyance knowing I won't be joining her in bed any time soon, knowing damn well that it would fix that stress she has including mine.
I take my phone and earphones out. I look back at her closed door. I smirked to myself, "Even if I wanted to. Seoyeon wouldn't let me."
It's alright, I like a challenge.

I guess Taeyeon and Baekhyun relationship isn't always lovey dovey like we thought. Relationships are hardly what they seem. Do you think Baekhyun still has feelings for Seoyeon? Or is just doing whatever he is doing out of pure amusement?
