You were sitting in the last row of seats in the crowded stadium, contentedly watching your boyfriend get points after points for his powerful serves.
"Look at Oikawa-san!! He's so cool!" you heard a group of fangirls squealing from below you. You glared at the back of their heads, trying to telepathically warn them to stay away from your boyfriend.
Oikawa was able to hear them from the court and flashed them a dazzling smile, happy to have people acknowledge the effort he puts in. Many of the girls that were obsessed with Oikawa stayed as close to the court as possible to cheer him on. You, on the other hand, always watched his games from the very back of the stadium, content to just admire his skills.
Oikawa continued to serve perfectly until Aoba Johsai was leading by ten points. His fangirls kept supporting him, and he kept glancing over at them while smiling charismatically, which made your hand curl into a tightly clenched fist.
"Y/n!" you heard a voice call, causing heads to turn towards the back of the gymnasium. You looked in the direction of the voice, and found a certain spiky-haired libero running towards you.
You stood up just in time for Nishinoya to tackle you into an overenthusiastic hug, causing the oxygen to be ripped from your lungs. However, you didn't really mind. It had been a long time since you'd last seen him. You were actually a wee bit shorter than the extremely short libero, which enabled the two of you to wrap your arms around each other more comfortably.
"Yuu! It's been so long!" you said, laughing a bit as the two of you separated.
"I know! How've you been?" he chirped.
"Fine. Is Karasuno playing here?" you asked him.
"Yeah, actually, we have a game in about an hour," he said. As he talked, two unfamiliar people walked up behind Nishinoya.
"Nishinoya-senpai, who's this?" asked a short kid with curly hair the color of raw carrots. The other boy, a tall, dark-haired guy emanating a gloomy aura, just looked at you with his cheeks tinted red.
"This is my cousin, y/n-san," said Nishinoya, putting an arm around your shoulder. "Y/n, these are Hinata, the middle blocker and decoy, and Kageyama, the King or genius setter."
"Hey," you said nonchalantly, a little smirk on your face.
"Hi!" Hinata half-yelled, attracting the attention of those around you.
"Y/n, why are you here anyways?" asked Nishinoya.
"Oh, I'm watching Tooru's game," you said, signaling to the court where Aoba Johsai was playing.
"You know Oikawa-san?" asked Kageyama, his eyes wide.
"Yeah, he's my boyfriend," you said, smiling a little.
"Well, we have to go now," said Nishinoya, looking at Daichi who was signaling them to come over.
"See you!" you called, giving Nishinoya a parting hug.
You sat down to continue watching Oikawa play, but instead, you saw a different team on the court, and a new scoreboard.
You sighed. Oh well. They won. That's what matters.
You waited up in your seat for Tooru, as he normally met you there after the game. One of the things that Tooru loved about you was your coolness. You weren't crazy desperate for him and bought lunch for him, but you admired him from afar in your own way. You had some dignity for yourself, unlike many of his fangirls.
You waited for about five minutes when you felt a little pinch and some wetness on your neck. You looked down to see none other than the setter kissing just above your collarbone, and all you could do was just watch with wide eyes.
Once Oikawa was satisfied that he had left a mark, he said, "What were you doing with that libero?"
"Oh, Yuu?" you asked, oblivious to his obvious jealousy.
"What, you're on a first-name basis?" he asked, his eyes narrowing.
"Tooru, calm down. He's my cousin, for kami's sake," you said, laughing a little once you picked up on his conflicted emotions.
"Oh," he said a bit sheepishly. He stepped over the seats and slid into the one next to you, putting an arm around your shoulder. By this time, all his fangirls were whispering to each other and glaring at you from afar.
"Tooru, why are you with me?" you asked, turning your head to look into his radiant brown eyes.
"What do you mean?" he asked, his face contorting into a confused expression.
"I mean, you could have anyone out there. Why are you with me? I'm crazy high maintenance, I have a cussing problem, I'm the opposite of pretty, I'm a sensitive person but really rude and blunt to others, I'm not exactly popular, I'm not good at anything, the list goes on and on," you said matter-of-factly.
"Y/n, do you really believe that about yourself?" asked Oikawa, his eyes gazing into the depths of your uncertain e/c ones. "You may be high maintenance, but I don't want anyone but you. Your language is part of your personality; I don't care about it. You're more beautiful than anyone I've ever seen, living or dead. Again, you may be sensitive, but you've gone through a lot in life, and, well, you're like Iwa-chan. I don't care if you're rude to me, I love you. Your popularity doesn't affect anything at all, and you're good at virtually everything you do. Y/n, don't think that way about yourself. I know you have your insecurities, but know that I love you more than what's healthy, and that I only love you," said Oikawa passionately, before leaning down to pull you into a sweet, delicate kiss.
A/N: Hey everyone!! So I'm watching Super Lovers right now, since I'm a crazy fujoshi with serious issues, and I stg I need more yaoi/shounen ai. I have an obsession. Anyways, this one is finally out! Sorry for not updating for a while, that was unintended. It'll hopefully not happen again. Also, as I may or may not have said before, my Haikyuu!! Seven Minutes in Heaven series is on hold for a little while, but I'll probably come back to it soon. Thank you all for reading!!
