B/f/n: Best friend's name.

B/f/b: Best friend's boyfriend (or girlfriend).

"Hey, b/f/n. Today was kind of trashy," you said, taking out the lavender lilies you had put in her vase and changing them out with fresh ones. "Tomoe wasn't here, and he didn't text me. I texted and called, but he didn't reply. Ashikawa-sensei was being a bitch today, and gave me detention. That's why I was here so late. B/f/n, nothing's the same without you. Please get well soon," you said, sitting on the edge of their hospital bed as crystalline tears soaked the sterilized bedsheets of the hospital.

You paused, as if awaiting some response, but the only sound you heard was the monotonous beat of the heart monitor. Your best friend had gotten into a car accident and had been in the ICU for two weeks already. She wasn't in a stable condition, and wasn't aware of anything going on around her.

You opened your mouth to say something, but before you could, the door creaked open and a certain yokai walked in. You sat up quickly, drying your tears with the back of your hand. "'Tomoe, where the fuck were you?!" you asked angrily. "You haven't answered my calls since after school yesterday and you weren't here today."

He cautiously took a step back, holding his hands up as if surrendering. "I dropped my phone somewhere, and it broke. Also, today I accidentally slept in. Jeez, why are you being so salty?"

"Sorry," you said, tears escaping from your e/c eyes. "I've just been so stressed, and I just..."

Tomoe sat down on one of the chairs and pulled you into his lap, shushing and caressing you. "It's fine, y/n. Don't worry about it. Hey, we should go somewhere else for now. It's not healthy for you to be here all the time."

As much as you wanted to argue, you knew that he was right. You had lost weight in the past two weeks because you rarely spent any time outside of school or the hospital. "Sure," you replied, sighing. "But I'm going to need to change."

"Give me a second," said Tomoe, going outside. He came back a few seconds later with a bag in his hands. "Here."

You looked inside and saw your clothes. "How....?"

"I figured you'd say that you wanted to change, so I took them," he said, blushing as he looked away.

"Thank you," you said, standing up and setting the bag on the floor. You waited for Tomoe to get out, but he didn't move. "Tomoe, get out."

"No," he said arrogantly, smirking at you. "I'm not passing this up."

You rolled your eyes. "Fine, but turn around."

Tomoe grudgingly obliged, and turned around to face the painted white wall with dark blue borders. You took out the clothes, and gasped when you saw what he brought. There was a short, black top that was strapless and off-the-shoulders. He had also brought extremely tight light blue ripped jeans. "Tomoe, what the fuck? These are so slutty!" you half-yelled, looking at the clothes in horror.

"Hey, at least I brought you some clothes," said Tomoe. You could practically hear a smirk in his voice, and fumed.

You put on the clothes and checked your reflection in the mirror. As you walked over to your full-length reflection, Tomoe turned around and let out a low, long whistle. "Damn. You look even better than I thought you would."

You turned around to face him, irked. "Whatever. Let's just go."

-Time Skip to Where He Brought You Because I'm Too Lazy lol-

"What even is this place?" you asked, gazing around the abandoned creek in awe. "It's fucking beautiful."

"Well, yeah. It's just behind the Mikage shrine," he said, nodding towards the run-down wooden walls.

You hummed, and sat down to remove your combat boots. You quickly untied the laces with deft fingers and slipped your boots and socks off. Tomoe watched you, puzzled.

You walked over to the creek, savoring the feelings of the grass under your bare feet. You then rolled up the jeans and sat on the edge, dipping your feet into the cool water. You turned around to see Tomoe watching you. "Come on," you said, waving him over.

Tomoe took off his shoes and joined you. He put an arm around your waist and pulled you next to him, and you lay your head on his shoulder.

The two of you sat like that for a while, just enjoying the serene atmosphere that surrounded the two of you. Suddenly, your phone vibrated in your pocket and you shifted your weight off of him to pull it out.

B/f/b:

Y/n, I'm really sorry to tell you this. I didn't want to have to, but someone's going to have to break the news to you. B/f/n just passed five minutes ago. She had a heart attack while in her coma, and her body couldn't handle it. I'm so, so, so sorry.

You brought a shaky hand to your mouth as waterfalls of tears began to flow out of your eyes. It couldn't be. She can't have. She's been with me for so long, so why? Why did she have to leave me?

You heard a voice call you back to earth. "Y/n? Y/n, what's wrong?" asked Tomoe, concerned.

You showed him your phone, and his blue-purple eyes widened as he read the heartbreaking news. He pulled you closer, and you buried your face into his warm, muscled chest. "Why?" you asked, sobbing. "Why did she have to leave?"

He pulled your closer, stroking your hair softly. You silently cried into his chest until your eyes ran dry and you had no tears left. Then, you looked up, your swollen, red eyes staring into his. "Tomoe, stay with me. Don't leave me alone," you said, your e/c eyes pleading and vulnerable.

He leaned down and gently kissed your forehead. "I'll stay with you. Always."

A/N: Sorry this one took so long T_T. I was grounded for a while, and I had a different one-shot ready, but I felt like that one didn't have enough Tomoe. So, I rewrote it. Anyways, hope you all enjoyed this one! I'm probably going to do a Kuroo x Reader Seven Minutes in Heaven next.
