After leaving the Cupcake Shop, I decided to call Claire and ask her to come over to watch a movie.

When I arrived at my house, she was already waiting in her car.

"Hey Jules!" Claire exclaimed, giving me a hug.

When we pulled out of the hug, I realized that I was still wearing Dak's jacket.

I panicked because I Claire noticed everything.

Her face contorted in thought.

"Where did you get that jacket? That's for players only. I had to sort them before the season started."

"Um, Dez gave it to me," I lied.

"Jules. You and I both know that Dez and Lucky would never let you keep that. They would want it back."

I knew she was right.

"Zeke gave it to me," I desperately lied again.

"Don't lie to me. Zeke is twice that size."

Claire suddenly hugged me again.

I was so confused that I didn't even notice her look at the name tag.

By the time she pulled away, it was too late.

"You're wearing Dak's jacket! I knew ya'll were a thing!"

I groaned and walked in the front door.

Of course Dak would write his name on the name tag.

Dak POV:

I gave a sigh of relief before I got into the driver's seat.

Zeke was still laughing when I got in.

"Are you done?" I asked after a while.

"No!" Zeke yelled.

I groaned and headed for my house.

Legend was waiting for me. My dog, I mean.

My love for bulldogs started when I was at Mississippi State. That was our mascot.
I bought Legend when I was still in college.

Ace, Zeke's dog, was obviously no match for the bulldog.

I walked through my front door and Legend ran up to me. He jumped up on his hind legs to give me a hug.

"Hey boy! How have you been!" I cooed.
Zeke walked in behind me and petted my dog.

"I still think Ace is the better dog," he said after petting Legend for a while on the couch.

"Don't get me started with that debate Zeke. Plus, my dog is here and your dog is still at your Mom's house," I replied with a smirk.

He raised his hands in the air.

"Good point. Good point."

We left it at that.

I sat on the couch with him, propping my feet up on the table.

"So what were ya'll laughing about at before? You know, when you totally ignored us?"

"I don't know. She just did something funny with her muffin and we both started laughing."

I couldn't hide the smile that erupted onto my face.

"Come on Dak. I know you like her, Zeke said with a smirk.

"Does it matter? She probably doesn't like me anyway."

"Have you been alive the past few weeks? She's so into you. Everyone can see it. You're just blind."

I scoffed, but before I could reply, I felt Legend rest his chin on my head. I grinned, pulling out my phone to take a video.

"You're a headrest now Dak!"
