When the team was in their huddle at the end of practice, I walked back to the training room.

I loved how practices were in the morning and ended at noon so I had the rest of the day to myself.

Or actually, with Dak.

The whole offensive line walked into the room.

"Hey guys," I greeted, turning on the ice machines.

"How's our favorite trainer?" Zach Martin replied, sitting down on the table.

"I'm actually doing pretty good."

"Does that have anything to do with Dak?" Ron Leary asked, smirking.

"Who told you?" I groaned, rolling my eyes.

"The biggest talker on this team."

"Dez," I said, knowing the answer immediately.

"Yep. And if you were wondering, Dak and Zeke are both talking to the media right now," Travis Frederick replied, smiling.

"I wasn't actually, but thanks."

"Right," he drawled leaning back in the ice bath with a groan.

"So how's Morgan?" I asked Zach, trying to divert the conversation.

"She's great. Our honeymoon.."

I sighed in relief when the huge man started talking about Hawaii.

Because this was a light practice, there were not many people that came in for therapy.

After Ron, Zach, Travis, and the rest of the line left, I only stayed about half an hour before Dak came in.

"Where's Zeke?" I asked.

"I got rid of him, don't worry."

We both laughed.

"Are you ready?"

"Yeah I just have to turn the ice machines off," I replied, getting up from my chair.

"That's cool. Whenever you're ready."

I walked over to the machines, flipping the switch for each tub.

"Let me just get my stuff."

I slowed down my pace as I felt Dak's giant hands brush my sides.

My breath hitched as his arms wrapped around my waist from behind.

I immediately melted into his arms, smiling at the warm embrace.

"Dak! I'm trying to get ready!" I exclaimed, grinning.

He only squeezed me tighter, putting his chin on my shoulder.

"No," was all he murmured rocking slowly.

I moved with him, wanting to stay in his arms forever.

I swallowed as I slowly turned around to face him.

Dak drummed his fingers on my side.

"I want to do something first," he finally said.

His lips tugged into a small smile as he pulled me to him so that our hips touched.

Then he leaned in, placing his lips on mine.

It was a small yet warm kiss.

I honestly never knew an embrace so innocent could be so intimate and electrifying.

Our lips moved in perfect sync.

I pulled him closer, his hands feeling my waist.

The heat from the kiss seemed to travel through my veins, warming my whole body.
