4 months later, (40 years in Hell)

"Riley."

Riley was shaken awake by Daniel. Riley rolled over to face him, rubbing her eyes. She slowly sat up on the bed.

"What do you want?" She asked rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Boss wants to see you."

Riley fell back onto the bed and groaned. "It's too early."

Daniel shook her awake again. Riley just groaned but stayed in place.

"Come on Riley, you know he doesn't like to be kept waiting."

Riley thought about it a moment, stay in bed and be warm or disobey orders and get punished. A shiver ran through her, she quickly got out of bed and started to get changed. She paused and turned to Daniel.

"Turn around." Daniel looked back at her with a confused look. "I don't want you to see me getting changed."

Daniel was about to say that he'd seen worse but he couldn't be asked to argue with her, so he turned his back to give Riley the privacy she wanted.

Riley quickly got changed into her all black uniform; once she was done she walked over to Daniel.

"Come on then, we don't want to be late."

Daniel rolled his eyes and followed the girl out of her room and into the black corridor. The two walked side by side, walking past door after door. Slight screams could be heard through them. The girl and the demon ignored the screams; they were used to them by now. After all what's Hell without tortured souls.

Since their first encounter the two hadn't really talked. Riley became a part of the army and soon made her way up the ranks; soon she was a Knight of Hell. With Daniel only being a crossroad demon the two didn't see each other. The only reason he was sent to get Riley was because she trusted him the most.

"So, what does he want to see me about this time?" Riley asked breaking the tension around them.

"I don't really know. I was just told to bring you and that it was urgent."

Odd, Riley thought. She began to think of all the things that the Boss would want to see her for. Hopefully I haven't done something wrong, she thought.

Silence fell between the two once again, as they walked the long black corridors. The only sound that could now be heard was the footfalls of the pair. They had passed the torture rooms and were now walking down the corridor that leads to the war rooms and the boss's office. The walls, a light grey, stood out from all the black that was in Hell. The corridor was still as seeming endless as all the others.

That's certainly someone's idea of Hell, endless corridors, Riley thought.

"How have you been?" Riley asked, slightly looking at Daniel.

"You know the normal, collecting souls, making deals, nothing new. What about you?" Daniel said looking down at Riley.

"I've been okay, doing lots of training. Though I'm still not sure what it's all for. I joined this army, I've trained, become a Knight of Hell and I still don't know what it's all for. Do you think that's what this meeting is about?"

Daniel shrugged. "Maybe, but who knows, it could be anything."

"I hope it's nothing bad." Riley said focusing on the path ahead.

"I'm sure it's not, he would've sounded angrier if it was."

Riley looked up at the demon next to her. "You think so?"
