He walked out of his office and into the war room next door. The room was slightly more lit than the rest of Hell. Inside the room demons were placing figures into different places on a table that was white, to represent heaven. They were all talking busily; working out the final parts of the plan to make sure it ran smoothly.

Silence fell over the room when Lucifer walked in. Even being in Riley's body they could sense Lucifer's presence.

"Our plan can now commence." The silence sat there for a second before the demons started cheering and getting into their battle stations.

Soon all the demons were in place and ready. They stood by the portal that would take them to Heaven; there they would distract the angels so that Lucifer could do his work. The portal was in a perfect circle and glowing white; if you looked inside you could just about make out what was on the other side. It was like being underwater and trying to see what was in front of you, everything was slightly distorted. The portal was also like a one way mirror so the demons could see Heaven but the angels had no idea that it was there.

"Now, you know the plan, I know that you are ready for this. The angels will never see it coming. They are weaker than us in numbers and skill. You all know what to do, so let's do this thing." Lucifer raised his fist and all the demons cheered before running through the portal. Lucifer waited until the last of his demons had gone through before following.

Once he was through the portal, Lucifer was surrounded by white. Couldn't dad ever find a new colour, he thought. He walked with determination, ignoring the shouts of demons and angels behind him. He walked to corridors of his old home with one place in mind. As Lucifer walked he looked at all the white, the doors which lead to the souls of the good. The walls, which connected to a white ceiling. The tiled floor that he walked on, white. His footsteps echoing the further in he got, soon they were the only sound that could be heard. The battle far behind him.

"Daddy, Luci's home." He called out, his booming voice echoed. He got nothing in reply. "Come now, I know you're here. Let's not play games." Still he got nothing back. "Alright you want to play games, fine. Come out; come out where ever you are." Lucifer reached the door to God's office.

"Got cha." He whispered.

He slowly opened the door to reveal a room with white walls. Bookcases lined 3 out of the 4 walls. In the middle is a large desk filled with paper work, all of it neatly stacked, everything in order. Behind the desk is a tall chair. The chair turns around to show God. He looks directly at the young girl that had his favourite son inside.

"Hello dad. Long-time no see." Lucifer sneered.

"Luci why are you doing this?" God sighed.

"Doing what?"

"Now isn't the time for games Luci, call off your demons." God demanded.

"Or what?"

"Or-- or--"

"You don't have anything, oh this is wonderful. The almighty God doesn't have any way to stop his own creation." Lucifer laughed as he moved around the room.

"Lucifer please just stop this. You have no reason to do this." Lucifer froze; he looked up at his father with pure hatred.

"No reason. I have no reas -- oh dad you always were so naïve. You threw me out, me. I loved you so much. I did everything you asked of me. Yet you got my brother to lock me away in Hell. How could you not see this day coming? You wanted me to love your precious humans more than you, but when I couldn't I get punished. And yet you neglect your play things. You left them on their own, look how well that turned out. They messed up everything. I told you they are flawed and they proved it to you."

"Is that why you chose this vessel, because you think that you two have some kind of connection?"

Lucifer stepped closer to his father, never breaking eye contact. "We do have a connection. We were both neglected by our fathers. The people we loved and trusted. But they threw it back in our faces, treating us like we were nothing. Riley understood everything I went through, I could actually help her in a way you never would."

God sighed and looked down at his son with love. "You think I don't care about the humans but I do. It pains me to see what they have become but I cannot interfere, I gave them free will. This is how they chose to use it. I still love them all, even for their flaws. I know everything about Riley, her mother, her father and your deal."

"If you knew all along why didn't you stop me?"

"Because I know that you need to do this. I know that I have been too hard on you. I let you continue your plan because I wanted to talk to you and I know you wouldn't see me any other way." God tried to step closer to his son, but Lucifer quickly stepped away from him.

God sighed. "Son, I'm sorry for everything I've done to you. I was never meant to have a favourite son, but you were despite your flaws. That's why I thought it would be easier for you to love the humans, because they were like you. I was wrong. It pained me to punish you and to see you suffer every day; I regret not saving you sooner. Maybe things would be different now. Can you ever forgive me son?"

Lucifer looked up at his father with a loving expression. God looked down at his son with hope. Lucifer stepped towards his father, arms open. God smiled at his son and walked into the embrace. God sighed into the hug. A smirk formed on Lucifer's face. He slowly drew out his angel blade and carefully hid it behind his back.

"Oh dad," Lucifer said as he pulled away from the hug, but still keeping his father at arm's length with one arm, "did you ever think I could forgive you?"

God looked confused for a second before seeing what his son was holding. Lucifer smiled as he stabbed the blade into his father's chest. God stumbled back, looking for something to hold onto. He grabbed the side of the desk, but he was now too weak to keep hold, his hand slipped causing him to fall to the ground. All of the papers on his desk falling with him.

Lucifer watched as his father struggled to say alive. "Did you honestly think that I would ever forgive you for turning your back on me? If so, you are even more foolish than I thought."

God struggled for breathe, raising his hands to try and remove the blade that was still sticking out of his chest. Lucifer saw this and quickly stepped on his hand, tutting at his father.

"Now, now we can't have you doing that." Lucifer kicked his father's hand away and then kicked him in the side. God fell to the side and started coughing up blood. Lucifer bent down to his level.

"Can you hear them? Can you hear your children screaming for you to help? Just like I did. Now they will know what it's like to be me. Abandoned by their father when they need him the most."

God looked up at Lucifer with defeat, he knew that he had wronged his son, but he hoped they could fix it. He saw now that that never could've happened, he saw now that he shouldn't have been so proud. He should've admitted that he was wrong a long time ago.

Lucifer got up and began to walk out of the room; the sound of his father's voice stopped him.

"Luci?" Lucifer turned back to his father.

"What?" He sneered.

"I'm sorry, I truly am. I should've been a better father to you. Been more understanding of your side. Seen that you could never love something more than you loved me, and been grateful of the fact that you loved me. I should've never created Hell and got your brother to lock you away. Lucifer I am so sorry for all I have done to you."

Lucifer's expression softened ever so slightly before reverting to dead pan. He took one look at his father, "You should be." He said his voice void of any emotion. With his statement Lucifer turned and left the room to join his demons. God watched, trying to reach out to his son but it was too late. Lucifer slammed the door shut behind him and with that God took his final breathe.
