Hi this is a new book I first came up with the Idea in January of 2014. So this is kind of old. Hope you all enjoy it. This is a WWII story, it's made up. Some of it might be written in German. I learnt a little German in school and have been there but that was a while back so it might be a bit ruff. Still I hope you all enjoy and I don't fail to much. This is just an idea I may not write more on it. Vote, comment and enjoy. By the way the photo on the side is Elsabeth.

Skylark/ Sky

***************

Elsabeth Rein was on her way to school the day she heard him.

**

That day Kasper Schatten was watching the bread cart on the corner for the chance to grab a piece as the cart was at the corner of his alleyway. When he saw her from his spot hidden in the shadows.

See Kasper never did get seen. He would hide in the shadows were no one could see him. The last time people saw him...... well you'll find that out later.

**

Elsabeth was walking to the alley, she had heard people say it was haunted. Elsabeth didn't believe that. She decided to walk down the alley which she knew lead straight to her German school. The school was very strict and she couldn't afford to be late again. As she walked down the alley she saw a movement in the shadows to her left, she ignored it and kept walking down to the end of the alley. That's when she saw her.

Hidden in the shadows to Elsabeth's right behind a stack of crates was a small girl. From what Elsabeth could make out the girl was about eight years old. She had dirty, dark brown hair, she was small and thin. The young girl was terrified. Beside the girl was what seemed to be a make shift crutch.

Elsabeth stepped forward towards the small girl and knelled in front of her.

"Are you alright." She whispered to the girl. The girl cowered away slightly. Then a voice rung out "Get away from her.". Elsabeth could tell the person whom owned the voice was a boy. Elsabeth jumped off her knees and onto her feet, she turned around to the place where the voice had come from. All she could see was the boy's silhouette it seemed to her he was about twelve as old as she was.

Scared, Elsabeth ran to the end of the ally and out into the school grounds. All day the mystery boy and girl were at the back of her mind. She walked home the long way, still slightly frightened by the thought of the shadow boy. During dinner she kept thinking of how thin the girl was and felt to bad to eat much. Later as her mother tucked her into bed she kept thinking of how cold she looked. She stayed awake till after both her parents were asleep and she could hear them snoring. She snuck down the stairs silently and to the lining cupboard. She opened it and grabbed a thick warm blanket, then she continued on to the kitchen. She then took a little food from the back of the pantry. The food no one would realize was missing. She then slipped back up the stairs and into her room. She put the blanket and food into a bag for the girl. She lay on top of her blankets for a moment. Elsabeth then promptly fell asleep.

The next day Elsabeth woke earlier then usual, she was up before both her parents and about the same time as the staff. She ate her breakfast quickly, grabbed the bag  and practically ran out the door before any questions were asked. No one even the staff saw her leave with the bag.

She walked up to the ally, as she entered there was the boy's silhouette.

"Leave." He said calmly. She then promptly turned around and ran out the way she came. She walked the long way to school but as she had left so early she wasn't late. In class Elsabeth couldn't stop thinking about how to get the things to the girl. As she was thinking she didn't notice a tall, pole straight, thin Frau Eisenberg hovering over her.
