As she walked it seemed like everything slowed down, I was living in my own world. I was stunned by her beauty, her short dirty blonde hair that flowed in a way to just give her an indescribable atmosphere. Her smile made me feel warm inside, made me feel like I was someone and her blue eyes threw her whole look together and just made her the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She quickly sat in the front of the room and knew she had everyone's attention. In the midst of my admiration the teacher had come in and as the bell rang he explained we were going to be put into groups of three, and that the two people we got partnered with would be our partners for the rest of the year. My heart fluttered at the thought of being in the same group as her, it excited me like a child on Christmas morning. I trailed off I thought and snapped back into reality as our teacher said something like "I'll assign groups in 15 minutes after we all complete this get to know you worksheet". I finished my worksheet quickly and eagerly sat and waited for the groups. The teacher spoke up in a loud booming voice a few minutes later " Alright it's time for the groups, when I call your name raise your hand and hold it there until I've called your whole group", he did this for quite awhile until he got to me "Ethan Oliver, Claire Drian, and Brooke Settler" he boomed, as I looked up towards the front of the room I noticed the girl who had such a grand effect on me had her hand raised. "SCORE!" I thought to myself, after all the groups had been called we moved next to each other. My heart was beating a mile a minute just sitting next to her, I was unsure what to say as I was waiting for her to come and sit down when I got interrupted in my thought. "Hi I'm Brooke, it's nice to meet you" said a girl with a sweet and soft voice, "hey I'm Ethan" I responded quickly as Claire sat down, she didn't introduce herself or anything but I didn't mind I was just glad to be near her. By the end of class we knew each other decently well, Claire and I had a few things in common and me and Brooke had quite a lot in common, it was nice to make a new friend and maybe I could get closer to Claire, she was my dream girl and I couldn't wait to get to know her. The rest of the day went by quickly I have most of my classes with either Lucas or Brooke and I have two with Claire, on the bus ride home I co templated my day and was content with my first day of high school "one down a million to go" I chuckled to myself as the bus pulled out of the school parking lot.
