Rythian's POV:

Zoey had finally gotten out of one of Sick-Bays many hospitals and was already excited to see the base. It wasn't much to look at, but it was good enough for a temporary base. It was fairly big, and I had some good items, but it just wasn't like before. It was almost like this world had a different kind of magic, like the other things had disappeared. There was a tent in the center, with 2 beds. Zoey immediately checked the tent and said"Hmmm..... Not a bad design, little small, needs a bit of decoration." I tried to explain to her that it was temporary but she wouldn't buy it. She said that temporary or not, it still should look nice. I ultimate face palmed, then let her do it. I just sat in my bed as she rushed about with her paintings and mushrooms.-at night- There was a massive storm outside, it was so bad that Teep actually had to make a little bed in the sand inside the tent. Zoey expanded the tent earlier, so that was a good thing. I found out that she was afraid of storms. "Come here Zoey, it's alright. It's just a little thunder." I said soothingly. "O-ok..." She said shakily. She climbed into my bed, and I put my arm around her, comforting her. "Y'know Rythian... Everyone finds you evil and mean, but you really aren't. You just need someone to let you have nicer feelings around them. Your only serious because that's what people think you are, and won't understand if you act different. That's why I like being friends with you Ryth.... Your always on your good side with me......" She said as she drifted off to sleep, laying her head on my shoulder. I smiled and put my arm around her. I decided to take a risk. I pulled my mask down, for the first time in years. And kissed her on the forehead. I felt I needed to. "I knew you had the guts..." Zoey muttered, making me blush, thank god for my mask. "I love ya too Ryth......" She trailed off as she finally fell all the way asleep.
