CHOICES

TWO - TRIS (ABNEGATION)

   A/N: Hey guys! So, this chapter is going to take place with Tris' POV, but will take place right after the CLIFFHANGER, when Tobias sees her. I hope u guys like it!
   It is my first day of being an actual Abnegation citizen, since you don't get to be a citizen until after initiation, which is 30 days of community service. I walk into work, but as I head for the stairs - elevators are considered to be self-indulgent in the Abnegation sector of the city- ,but as I go to climb the first step, someone takes my paperwork out of my hands! I turn around to see a man, I'm not even sure if I should call him that, because he doesn't look any older than 17. Before I can say anything, he says,"Do you need any help? I assume you are one of our newest citizens here in Abnegation, and I wondered if you needed any help finding anything."

   I cannot believe how handsome he is with that sheepish grin on his fa- NO, I CANNOT DO THIS, WE AREN'T SOULMATES!... Yet But, what if we were?😏

   "Um... Thanks, but I don't want to trouble you."Please, please, please let me trouble you. I can't believe I'm thinking like this, maybe this is what it is like to see your soulmate.

   "Well, where are you headed? Because, if we're headed in the same direction, you wouldn't be troubling me, would you?"

   "Well, I guess not. But, if you insist on carrying my things, I guess I don't have a choice, do I???"

   "Not really." He says, in that deep, gravelly voice, that I have already fallen in love with💗.

    'Why do I keep thinking these unholy thoughts???' I think to myself.

   "Well I work in the Factionless Needs Department", I say, and suddenly forget we are on the stairwell, and we are in the way of traffic.
   "We should go, we are in the way, and I work in that department too! So you weren't troubling me after all!" He says, almost, cheerful, like he is happy we are in the same department. I am too, but I feel I am concealing it better than him.

   "I guess not, and I think you're right about how we should go," I check my watch and see that it's 8:57."Shoot! We have 3 minutes to get to work! We DO need to go! I CANNOT be late for my first day of work!"

   We head up the stairs and right before we walk into the conference room, to discuss where we will be in the department, he says,"Hey, I never got your name. Tobias."

   "Beatrice." I say, trying to conceal my excitement, that we are going to see each other 5 days a week.

   "Well, Beatrice, it was nice meeting you." He emphasizes my name like it is something grand and, almost, sacred. I can tell, this is going to be a great life here in Abnegation.

XXX TIME LAPSE- TEN YEARS XXX

   Tobias and I are married now, with two children, one boy and one girl. The boy, Tobias, after his father, of course, is the oldest. The girl, Natalie, after my mother, who died when she was in labor with me, is wrapped around Tobias Senior's finger. I love them so dearly. I will never let them go. After about 1 year before he proposed, Tobias told me about his abusive father, Marcus, and about his Mom who was exiled after having an alleged affair with an Erudite man, which Tobias and I do not believe actually happened. We believe that Marcus, who is an Abnegation leaser, just wanted Evelyn, Tobias' mom, put of the way so he could get away with abusing Tobias.  He is I jail now, for,  not child abuse but TREASON, because he worked with Erudite to get more money, how SELFISH! Even though Marcus is not with us, we are very happy and I'm about to tell the entire family that I am expecting again, in late March of next year, during dinner. I can't wait to make our family of four, (see what I did there?) a family of five!

   A/N: I hope u guys liked this chapter!!! I feel like I did a decent job on this chapter!? I'm both confused and proud at the same day!?
