*SHORT ASS CHAPTER BARE WITH ME

"I-I...what's going on?"

Lauren took a seat next to the fragile girl, trying to mind her skinny legs. "Someone had called 9-1-1, saying that you were unconscious on a park bench. Did you eat anything today, Camz?"

Camila's heart began to race. She knew they would catch on. The day where the girls would all find out about her disorder. They'll leave. They'd abandon her. She'll have nothing.

"What in hell does that have to do with anything?" the Cuban's voice grew frustrated and louder. Lauren held her hands up in shock. "Woah, babe. Why so defensive?"

Dinah leaned against the frame of the hospital bed. "Anything you want to tell us, Cabello?"

Cabello.

The last time Dinah had called Camila "Cabello" was when they were extremely upset with her for not showing up at a concert. She wasn't "ditching" them, nor at anywhere else. She was in their hotel room, trying to vomit up anything she had eaten in the past hour. Camila hadn't told any of the girls she was purging, but simply said she "wasn't feeling well."

"No! There's nothing! I'm fine! Can you all do me a favor and stay out of my fucking life?" Camila shot back, emphasizing the me.

Camila huffed, turning her back to the girls and placing her pillow over her head, just hoping they'd simply leave.

"Camila, what the hell is that?"

Normani's voice rang through her pillow.

"What do you mean—" she turned back around, immediately noticing what the darker girl's eyes were locked on.

Her scars. All the marks covering her body. The  precisely placed slits placed throughout her arms. They saw all of them. She wanted to hide. She wanted to disappear. The girls were all frozen in fear. What would she tell the girls? She couldn't make up any excuse.

There was no turning back now.

"I...I can't..." the small girl wanted to say something. She wanted to spill out all of her frustrations to the people who loved her most. But she couldn't. Instead, the nineteen year old broke down in tears.

"Babe," Lauren scouted closer to her girlfriend, holding her like her life depended on it. "How long has this been going on?"

"S-six months. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you earlier. I-I was scared a-and I didn't want you guys—" Camila was stopped by a gentle kiss being placed on her forehead. She felt something. Something she hadn't felt in a long time.

Safe.

"We're with you, Camila. All of us. We're going to help you, babe," Lauren assured her. Is this real? Was this really happening? As soon as Camila had released I Know What You Did Last Summer with Shawn, the girls had grown extremely distant from her, even her own girlfriend.

It was something she hadn't felt in a long time.

Safe.

Camila had felt safe.
