Levi, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, and Hanji were in the middle of a very devastating battle. There were about a hundred titans stretching as far as they could see. Even though they had Levi to help them, they were still worried they wouldn't survive. Sometimes you couldn't rely on only humanity's strongest soldier.
Levi had found over the past few months that no matter how hard he fought, more titans kept showing up. To him, it seemed they would never be able to fully rid the world of the titans, though he would never admit that the thought of losing the battle ever crossed his mind.
As he gazed ahead at the people fighting with all their might, he remembered something Petra told him a week before her death.
Stay strong and believe in your comrades.
Levi was snapped out of thought by a sudden bloodcurdling scream. He looked over his shoulder to see one of the scouts get picked up by a titan with unnaturally long legs and a very oddly cone-shaped head. He forced himself to look back at the rest of his squad suddenly feeling an odd sense of fear for his companions though he hadn't known them for very long.
He saw Eren swing over—using his 3D Maneuver Gear—to the branch Levi was perched on. Eren sat down beside Levi which had them almost at eye level with each other though Levi had the advantage because of his crouching position.
"Heichou? Are you alright? We could really use your help," said with a worried and determined look in his eyes.
"I'm contemplating what to do. Eren, contrary to what you may believe, we actually need a plan before rushing into a battle," Levi responded, his voice very dead and flat.
Levi could see the pain and understanding in Eren's eyes before he got up and used the 3DMG to grapple his way through the forest to the open area where the titans were coming from.
Levi did the same and saw Mikasa out of his peripheral vision. She was fighting a 15 meter class titan. She zoomed straight to its nape, killing it in only a mere five seconds from the time Levi saw her. He frowned even as she killed it with such skill.
Then Levi yelled out to her, "Mikasa! Use the gas wisely! You'll run out again if you're not careful!"
Mikasa nodded and started moving a little slower and using smaller spurts of the gas inside their gear. Levi watched as her blood red scarf flowed behind her and she zipped up to another titan.
Levi flew up to one and spun around so he was facing the nape. With his swords in his hands, he sliced through the nape of the titan with ease. The titan fell and Levi turned to see only Mikasa, Eren, Armin, Jean, and Hanji. The rest of the people that had been with them were dead. They weren't very important people in the ranks of the Scout Regiment but everyone mattered in the fight against the titans. Every single person was an asset in the fight.
Out of nowhere, a very large and bulky titan whose body structure resembled the Armored Titan appeared. It had dark hair with a slight reddish tint in the sunlight and green-yellow eyes. Levi swung toward only to see Eren getting ready to bite into his hand. Hanji looked excited but Levi was going to make sure they didn't have two titan shifters to deal with.
"Eren, don't you dare shift! That's an order!" Levi yelled across the field to the young green eyed titan shifter.
"Seriously? Why not, Levi? I want to see them fight! Maybe I can learn more and get ideas for more experiments!" Hanji yelled back.
Levi just rolled his eyes at the insane lady with glasses and thought for a second. "You know something, Shitty-Glasses?" He waited until Hanji raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
"What?" Hanji said with her eyebrow still raised.
"I'm not afraid to 'experiment' on you," Levi sassed.
Levi could tell that Hanji knew exactly what he meant. He also knew she didn't want to be on the receiving end of his god-mode.
They all swung toward to this new titan, completely ignoring the other ninety. Armin was the last one to reach the titan. They were swinging around the titan trying to reach the nape, but the titan kept swatting at them or blocking their attacks.
Levi saw Mikasa glance at Eren and look away quickly. She may have tried to hide it, but Levi saw the worry in her eyes. He knew what she was about to yell even before she did as soon as he saw the titan swing at Eren as hard as it could.
"Eren!" Mikasa screamed, her voice suddenly changing from its normal smooth and silvery tone to a thick and breathy tone.
Eren looked at where the titan was swinging and quickly grappled onto a different part of the titan to swing out of the way. Mikasa, Armin, and Eren all sighed with relief while Levi, Hanji, and Jean kept fighting.
Somehow, the titan managed to grab all of them in it's hands and suddenly the world went black.
