Sorry it's been awhile since the last update. I get distracted from these easily because writer's block. This is a pretty short chapter. Sorry about it. Anyway, enjoy!

Alec was worried about Magnus. He kept trying to get him out of his mind but no matter how hard Alec tried, he just couldn't manage to.
"Alec, he'll survive whatever they throw at him. Magnus is strong. He's a survivor," Isabelle told her brother reassuringly.
He nodded but even so, the worry wouldn't subside. Alec couldn't help but picture the glittery warlock. All he could do was hope that Magnus was okay and that he would survive.
Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder. Alec turned his head to see Simon, which was surprising. He didn't know why it was Simon who was comforting him, but he wasn't complaining. As long as it wasn't his parents. He didn't really want to talk to them at all.
After what happened when they were in Idris, Alec didn't think he would ever want to talk to his parents. Even before, his parents had never been very accepting. Not only did they expect a lot from him as the oldest, but they expected a lot from him because they knew Isabelle wouldn't even attempt to please them and Jace was just a wild card. They knew that Alec and Max were the only two who would try to be who they wanted them to be. And with Max gone, Alec was all that was left. He knew his parents probably wouldn't forgive him, but as long as he had his friends and Magnus he would be okay.
Simon looked Alec in the eyes and said kindly, "Hey, don't worry about Magnus. He's been through a lot. He can get through this. I don't know if you care what I say, but I know how it feels to be so worried about someone that you feel sick."
Alec just furrowed his brow.
"You think I was all for Clary risking her life everyday as a Shadowhunter? Alec, I get it. Magnus has a lot more experience with this kind of thing than Clary, and she made it out just fine."
"I guess you're right. I think I might be worrying too much. Magnus is strong. He won't give in to Sebastian," Alec said as if he were trying to reassure himself.
Out of nowhere, Jace stated, "Let's get our minds off of this. Anyone have any ideas for a little game to play?"
"I would say truth or dare but it's bound to end up badly," Clary proclaimed from the other side of the cave.
While the rest of them were thinking of a game to play, Alec kept getting the feeling something was off. Not with Jace through the parabatai bond and not with Magnus. There was something going on and Alec wanted to find out what.
He turned to face his friends. "I'll be back. I'm going to check something out."
Clary, Simon, Isabelle, and Jace looked back and forth at each other as Alec walked out of the cave. Alec figured they thought he was going crazy without Magnus, but he didn't really care.
Alec kept walking until he felt a gust of wind. He looked around trying to see where the wind had come from. Being in Edom, he hadn't expected it and was surprised by the sudden wind. He had looked all the way around him and saw nothing. That's when he realized where it had come from.
      Above.
Alec looked up and saw something large and muscular falling toward him. He ran a few feet away to keep from getting crushed by the large being. Alec saw something in its hands and decided to approach it. He figured the fall would have killed it, so he wasn't very concerned. He saw one of the fingers twitch and jumped back. Alec then noticed a line appear where the finger met the palm.
A short man with dark hair and stormy gray eyes emerged as the finger fell away from the rest of the hand. More people emerged from the hand the short man had come out of as well as the other hand.
A teenage boy with brown hair and emerald green eyes stood up and asked the menacing looking, short man, "Heichou, where are we?"
