Everything was dark. Everything was still. The razor engine was still running and I wasn't hurt. I opened my eyes and peered at Brett.
His eyes are squeezed shut.
"Shi-oot." He catches my eyes. "I'm sorry." He apologizes he lifts his arm and shifts his body to see what's behind the razor and back up.
He puts it in reverse then backs out. "I didn't mean for that to happen. I'm so sorry Belle." He muttered in apology yet again.
"Stop apologizing, B. Out could have happened to anyone."
"You're right. Do you want to ride some more?" He inquired.
"Sure." I replied.

We rode around for another 20 minutes or more until Stella flagged us down.
West was going to drive my mom, London on it all the way up the medium size mountain they owned so he could show her the view.
Apparently Brett and I had rode around in the razors for almost an hour while everyone else rode like 20 minutes. Neither one of us mentioned the accident we nearly had. I hope no one noticed.
I don't think it really mattered because we weren't physically hurt, maybe only mentally because that scared the crap out of me.
About an hour or two later of fun, and riding the razor with Brett for another hour almost, everybody had left other than my family. And the boys, West and Stella of course.
I was sitting on the edge of a concrete, with my feet about two foot away from the fire. I now had my jacket on because the second razor ride was absolutely freezing. I don't see how Brett wasn't cold. But the fire was warming me up.
The moms were sitting on camping chairs watching the fire and kids, and Noah was eating candy in Stella's lap.
Harvey and Julian were somewhere. I'm not even sure. Probably playing video games or riding bikes.
The dads were standing on the other side of the fire enlarging it by pouring gas and wood on it every few minutes.
And lastly, Carter was sitting in the exact same spot as me just a few feet down with the fire on his opposite side eating some of Noah's candy while on his phone.
As for Brett, he was sitting between us, just a little closer to Carter, doing the same thing as me, watching everything.
Somebody mentioned fireworks and I'm not sure who it was but have a feeling it was Harvey who was now outside. West went inside the house to get the supplies while we a gathered by the truck which was a safe distance from where it would be.
West set it up and stepped towards the rest of us then lit the fuse in fire.
We all awwed and some of us recorded it on our phones. It was a little past midnight and we all were still up except Harvey who was half asleep, with almost all of us sitting by the fire.
Well us three older kids and adults at least. And Harvey sat a little ways away from the other side of the fire from us all and was just sitting there wrapped up in a blanket in the middle of falling asleep. Stella tried many times to get him to go to his room and sleep but he just stayed there. It was getting creepy.
"Hey Dad, didn't you just buy Suicide squad?" Carter asked West.
"Yes, why?" He acknowledged.
"Could Brett and I watch it?"
"I guess but you have to include Bella." Oh gosh. Watch a midnight movie with Carter. Yay.
