Chapter 10

I laid silently thinking how did I shape shift.
I looked into the mirror and then thought of Riley.
"Wake up" I sat up and looked at the harsh fluorescent lights,
"We got something for you to do" the camera was on loop. One man. And I couldn't sense anyone in the hallway.
"So do I" I kicked him in the gut causing him to fly across the room slamming him into a wall, I gave him another harsh kick making him lay still. Grabbing the helmet and clothes I quickly changed walking to the mirror,
"I wanna be that guard" nothing happens,
"I need to be that guard if I wanna survive!" I heard alarms start blaring.
The door starts closing but I quickly launch out barely making it past the slamming steel door,
"Agent Young is the prisoner in there?" I turn and look at a big group of guards. The one who spoke held all the authority, he can't see me but he can hear me, fuck please work,
"No she knocked me out and ran, she said something about air vents" my voice sounded very manly, exactly like the guard that was in my cell,
"Are you okay?" I nodded,
"Yes sir"
"She must be trying to escape through the air vents, go to the tubing room and search" he leaned close to my ear,
"When you find her kidnap her and pretend she's dead. We need to go deeper underground because she knows the cure and no one else is allowed to know" I nodded and started jogging off.
Why are they trying so hard to protect the one thing that'll save this earth? I run into the tube room where I saw all the people in the tubes.
I can't leave them here I know if I escape I'll be back but what if they move when I escape? For fucks sake.

I start running down the halls following the signs to weapon room. I heard some shouting of orders causing me to stop, I was so close the door is past this hallway I was so close,
"Anyone that comes near the weapons shoot no matter what!" Shouts emit and all run out of the hallway I slid inline with them unnoticed and stood guard of the door,

"Agent Carson why aren't you looking for the prisoner?" i shook my head,

"i got orders off of you sir telling me to guard the weaponry" I stated "shit what if she can shape shift or something sir?" His eyes widened and told everyone to follow him.
I slid into the weaponry loading up on guns putting a silencer on the ones I can, picking up the last gun the door open I turned to face a half naked guard aiming a gun at me,
"Nice try, I'll be taking tho-" he was cut off by someone hitting him in the back off the head,
"Agent what are you doing?" I shook my head,
"Fuck she hypnotized me" I held my head shaking it, "I'll put these in head office so if she finds a way to escape she won't be able to get her hands on weapons."
He thought for a moment "be quick and what ever you do don't leave the building they've got guard everyone anyone who goes outside will get shot immediately" I nodded and filled the bag up with the rest of the guns,
Fuck I can't set them free because they'd go outside and die straight away, a pounding headache started to ripple through my head making me feel weak I knew in a matter of time I'd shift back into myself.

Lunging the heavy gun bag over my shoulder I started to sprint to the main office where it now looked like a hospital hallway, pushing open the doors I felt dizzy now but I pushed myself,
"Agent the weapons over there please" I nodded walking to a testing sort of table looking at the computer screens around the room where I saw the cameras outside which showed nothing.
I turned to face the doctor I spoke to "where is everyone?" I demanded more then asked the doctor shrugged,
"Apparently they found her and put her in her cell waiting for her to shift back to her normal form" I nodded walking over to the desk sitting down,
"May I?" The Doctor started confused,
"May I what? What do you want?" Sighing I started tapping away at the computer,
"I want to see if she's in her cell" except I was trying to look at all the tubes cells,
"Wrong area she's in are 2 in cell 1093 not the tubing area" I nodded and muttered a quick apology, I heard silence as 10-12 guards tried to silently sneak in,
Hurry up where is it.
There.
I pressed the release buttons to open all doors then quickly spun around turning my arm into a shield where bullets chipped at the edges but nothing that won't heal at all.
All the bullets stopped and sounds of shock and confusion stripped along with reloading guns,
"My turn" putting my hands in front of me lifting them all off the ground throwing them across the room freezing a wall between them and me.
I started sprinting out I needed to go outside first before the prisoners did because what if he was telling the truth and the doctor just set a trap? I sprinted across the tubing room to see people starting to fight, opening the gun bag I grabbed a hand gun and holy fire, aiming the gun up I shot it.
The fights stopped and they all looked at me with rage, so much anger. I poured the holy fire around me setting it alight,
"If you want me come and get me!" I spat the ones who got close collapsed and started screeching, I knew the ones that will survive are the ones who aren't fully infected yet...

Only 4 people survived.
2 were females 2 were males and only 1 of them knew how to protect themselves some how.
"We need to escape stay behind me and..." I looked at the tall guy with long hair,
"Sam"
"Got that?" They all nodded but when I turned Sam grabbed my shoulder,
"Are you sure you know what you're doing" I sighed and both of my ares turned into crystals,
"Yea I do Sam" I started running with Sam trailing behind protecting the other 3 survivors, as soon as those doors opened we were in hell.
Guns fired everywhere on instinct I I threw them backwards without a second thought shots kept going so i shot shards of crystal at the shooters,
"Sam get in the truck now!" He shook the awe and shock off of his face and hustled the other 3 into the truck,
'' Sam drive now!'' I shouted at him he hesitated for a moment,
'' what about you?'' I shot him a look and he started up the car and started speeding off, oh god I hope this works,
I took a deep breath and focused on their life forces and imagined them going towards me, the screams of horror made me feel sick but deep down I didn't want it to end I didn't care I actually loved it.
The screaming stopped a few seconds later and opened my eyes to see just piles of dust with guns and black uniform.
Shaking my head I sprint towards where Sam drove off using super speed, God that sounds so stupid but I can go really fast.
I see the car ahead and launch into the passenger seat of the car I didn't realize how powerful and invincible I felt till now but that's when I realize both of my legs  had  the tattoo up to about mid calf, I sigh rubbing my eyes,
"Hey you okay?" Sam put his hand on my back trying to comfort me but I started crying what if I succumb to that feeing and become a monster I could already feel the need of doing ... that again rising fast ,
"Hey it's gonna be okay... what's your name?''
"Black, what does it matter anyway I'm a monster'' Sam looked me in the eyes and stared long and hard,
''You saved us a monster would leave us to die.
Black do you have anywhere to go?'' I thought for a moment , I can't go back to head quarters and I can't go to the cabin, sighing in defeat I shook my head no.
'' can I trust you guys? No spies or anything ?'' Everyone shook their head no's and wanted to get out of there,
'' you got somewhere?' He nodded and sped of heading north.
