As Serenity stepped outside the shop in her new clothing, a sense of nervousness irked her. She had absolutely no idea what this "Council of Melivian" would be like. Toawn noticed her concern.
"Don't worry," he said, "You'll be fine."
Serenity said nothing.
"As long you are who you should be, everything should be-"
"But what if I'm not!" Serenity snapped.
Toawn furrowed his brows, "What do you mean?"
Serenity sighed, "What if I'm not the person you think I am? What happens then?"
Toawn pinched the bridge of his nose and hung his head, like he was annoyed. "Why wouldn't you be the one? You've already gotten the Prophecy Dream," he said, lifting her wrist to examine the mark on her hand. Was it just her, or had it faded slightly? "Look, the Council will explain everything once we get there, I promise."
For now, Serenity thought it best to just go along with whatever the Council would say. Maybe they would let her go home. Though, she didn't really have a home to go back to. What would she do? Would they let her stay here, in Melivian? Would they cast her out? She didn't know.
Toawn's face softened. "Come," he said, "It's time to see the Council."

The palace was even more beautiful up close than the first time she had seen it from the view of the mountain.
They made their way across to stone bridge, through a gate (which swiftly opened when, who Serenity assumed were guards, spotted Toawn) and onto the palace grounds.
The palace entrance was a thing of beauty. Flanked by guards on both sides, the large door, reaching up to what must have been at least 15 ft. in height, was made of dark, oak wood. Designs were carved into the wood with what appeared to be pure gold. The white marble walls on either side, and above the entrance were marvelous, to say the least.
Toawn stepped forward to open the doors, when one of the guards stopped him. He was young, about Serenity's age, with dark brown hair, and sea-blue eyes.
"Hold on, Toawn." the boy said, "I know you, but who's she?" he gestured to Serenity.
Toawn just smiled, "Hello, Jonas. How are ya?"
Jonas smirked, then sneered as he caught Serenity's eye. "Who is she?" he asked again.
"Oh, don't mind him," said another unfamiliar voice, "He's always too careful." A man walked up behind Jonas and playfully knocked him upside the head.
Toawn smiled widely, "Ivan! How are you, old friend?" he said as he moved forward to shake Ivan's hand.
"I'm doing fine, Toawn, you?" Ivan smiled in return.
"Serenity, this is Ivan." Toawn said, gesturing for her to come forward. She took a step towards Ivan and reluctantly shook his hand.
Jonas narrowed his eyes, "So, is anyone going to answer my question?"
"Jonas, this is Serenity." Ivan said, rolling his eyes, "Serenity; Jonas."
Jonas reluctantly shook her hand. He was taller than her, she realized. By at least five inches. "It's...nice to meet you." he said, smirking.
"Well, it was nice to see ya, Jonas, but Serenity here has got an appointment with the Council." Toawn said.
"What has she got anything to do with the Council?" the boy questioned.
"If ya really want to know, come inside and see for yourself." Toawn said, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips.
"You know I can't, I'm on duty!" Jonas retaliated.
"Feel free to take a break, if you really want to go, Jonas." Ivan said.
Jonas looked between the two men, and then at Serenity, he was silent for a few moments, "...Nah. It's not worth my time." he said finally.
"Suit yourself," Toawn said, "Alright Serenity, are you ready?"
Serenity nodded, trying to contain her nervousness.
"Well then, let's go."
