(DISCONTINUED) Family Matters (Namjin Family AU)

FIFTEEN

"Hey, Hazel?" Hazel hums in response. It was their third date and they decided to just sit around on a park bench. "So you know how Hoseok was neglected before we adopted him, right?"

"Of course..."

"Well, every year on His birthday, growing up, he Made a sandwich out of cookies and ice cream. His birthday is today and he's at a friends. He should be home in about an hour. Our whole family is gonna be there to celebrate. My grandparents from both sides, my dad's sister, My mom's brother."

"Aw, your family is so sweet..."

"Yeah...But I was just wondering...Do you want to go? My Mom wants to meet you, the girl who changed my life." Hazel smiles at the title her boyfriend has given to her.

"I'd love too." Yoongi grins.

"Let's get going."

"Waaait! Kiss me first." Yoongi rolls his eyes.

"God! You're so needy!" He complains in a playful tone before gently tilting Hazels face up by using his finger. They give each other a little kiss before getting off the bench and walking to Yoongis house, their fingers intertwined.

Yoongi looks out of the window, taking a deep breath when he sees his little brother run up to the house. "He's here!" Yoongi runs over to the couch, flipping over it in the dark house. "oW! Dammit!" Hazel giggles and pulls him behind the couch as Hoseok opens the door. He slows down, confused at the dark quiet house.

"Momma?" He calls out before noticing Something on the staircase. It was a piece of paper. All it said was 'turn around ❤', sending the boy to spin around on his heels. Yoongi flips the lights on as everyone jumps out.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HOSEOK!" The boy jumps at the sudden appearance of his family. His shoulders drop as his eyes begin to overflow with tears.

"H...Happy Birthday...?" He sniffles as everyone smiles at his reaction. "Mom...Dad..."

"Yes...?" Jin places his hand on his Chest. He smiles as Hoseok charges at him, throwing his arms around his mother. He begins to cry into his sweater. Jin picks him up and hugs him tightly as Namjoon wraps his arms Around the two, kissing Hoseoks head. Yoongi and Hazel slip into the kitchen where they get the cake from the freezer. It was an ice cream cake with cookies and cream ice cream with various types of cookies decorating the top. Halves, crushed. Ice cream and cookies were the only highlight of Hoseoks childhood, so why not. The teenage couple gets candles and a match together to put on the cake.

"Maw, cut the lights." Yoongi whispers as his grandmother turns the lights off again.

"You call your grandma 'Maw'?" Hazel whispers.

"Yes, shut up. that's the closet Kookie can get to 'grandma.'" Hazel laughs as the house begins singing the famous birthday song to Hoseok. His  parents brings the new 11 year old into the kitchen where the cake laid. Hoseok smiles, still crying as this all happens. He wipes his tears away.

"I-Is it an ice cream and cookie cake?" He asks as Jin nods. "Rad." The guests laughs as Namjoon pinches the bridge of his nose.

"Yoongi did you teach your brother 'rad'?"

"Maybe." Hazel laughs and kisses Yoongis cheek.

"H-Hey! You're the girl who kissed my brother at the talent show!" Hoseok points to Hazel as she smiles at his cuteness.

"Yes she is. She's going to be your future Auntie." Jin says.

"mOM!" Yoongi squeals and swats at his mother.

"I'm not wrong, am I? You love this girl enough to propose, don't you?" Jin smiles as Yoongis face lights up.

"I mean, yeah! I love her enough! I would propose to her! Just not right now! We're still in High school! Give us a few years, yeesh!" Yoongi Throws his hood over his head and pulls the strings so it closed up. "Let's just focus on Hoseok." He mumbles. Hazel smiles softly.

"Aw...You would propose to me?" Yoongi squeaks and pulls his hood down further.
